Boris Carloff
Boris Carloff (born Milan Havrda; 17 September 1974 in Brno) is a Czech musician, composer and record producer. In 2012 he released the Apollo Award-winning album ''The Escapist,'' followed by Morphosis in 2014. Career Boris Carloff studied classical violin and his first band Palm Beat was formed in 2003. He later played with several other projects and as producer he collaborated with acts including Kryštof and Wohnout. His stage name was inspired by English actor Boris Karloff. His first solo EP ''Good Stuff'' was released by Red Salamanda Records in 2004 and his debut full-length album ''The Escapist'' was released in 2012. The songs reflect on the passing of Carloff's brother and father in the two years prior. It includes guest performances by Doug Yowell and Ghetto Priest. Wohnout
Wohnout is a Czech alternative rock band formed in Prague in 1988. The group comprises guitarists/vocalists Matěj Homola and Jan Homola, bassist Jiří Zeman and drummer Zdeněk Steiner. Wohnout is among the most popular bands in the Czech Republic and released nine studio albums since formation. History Wohnout was formed in Prague in 1988, one year prior to the Velvet Revolution. The lineup consisted of brothers Matěj Homola and Jan Homola, both on guitars and vocals, along with a bassist and a drummer. In 1990, however, Wohnout disbanded. Brothers Homola reformed in 1995 with new bassist Jiří Zeman and a new drummer Zdeněk Steiner. Their first show was in 1996, and their debut album, ''Cundalla'', was recorded in 1998 and released in 1999 by Sony Music/Bonton. William Henry Pratt (23 November 1887 – 2 February 1969), better known by his stage name Boris Karloff (), was an English actor. His portrayal of Frankenstein's monster in the horror film ''Frankenstein'' (1931) (his 82nd film) established him as a horror icon, and he reprised the role for the sequels ''Bride of Frankenstein'' (1935) and ''Son of Frankenstein'' (1939). He also appeared as Imhotep in ''The Mummy'' (1932), and voiced the Grinch in, as well as narrating, the animated television special of Dr. Seuss' ''How the Grinch Stole Christmas!'' (1966), which won him a Grammy Award. Aside from his numerous film roles (174 films), Karloff acted in many live stage plays and appeared on dozens of radio and television programs as well. Barði Jóhannsson (born 10 September 1975) is an Icelandic musician, composer, writer, TV show host (of the surrealist Icelandic TV show ''Konfekt''), clothing designer and film director. He is mostly known for his work with the groups Bang Gang, Lady & Bird (a side project with Keren Ann) and Starwalker, a collaboration with Jean-Benoît Dunckel.
