Boothbay is a town in Lincoln County, Maine, United States. The population was 3,003 at the 2020 census. It includes the villages of Back Narrows, Dover, East Boothbay, Linekin, Oak Hill, Ocean Point, Spruce Shores, and Trevett. Southport, Maine
Southport is a town and archipelago in Lincoln County, Maine, United States. The population was 622 at the 2020 census. It includes the villages of Capitol Island, Hendricks Harbor, Newagen, Pine Cliff, Squirrel Island, and West Southport. The majority of the town's residents live on its main island, Southport Island. Washburn & Doughty
Washburn & Doughty is a shipyard located in East Boothbay, Maine. The company was founded in 1977 by Bruce Washburn and Bruce Doughty, then employees at Bath Iron Works. For the first several years of its existence, vessels were constructed on a lot in Woolwich until it moved to a building in East Boothbay. In July 2008, the shipyard burned to the ground in a fire sparked by a cutting torch. The fire caused an estimated $30 million in damage to the facility and under-construction vessels, and led the company to lay off 65 of its 100 employees. Immediately after the incident, the company began designing a replacement building, with operations continuing at other sites until being consolidated back to East Boothbay the following year. In 2016, the company began planning to expand to a site in Brunswick, Maine on the former Naval Air Station Brunswick, where it would locate steel cutting and some fabrication operations. Welton le Marsh (or Welton in the Marsh) is a village and civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated approximately north-east from the town of Spilsby and approximately south from the town of Alford. The hamlet of Boothby lies within the parish, about east of Welton le Marsh village. The name 'Welton le Marsh' derives from the Old English ''Wella-tun'' meaning 'farm/settlement with a spring/stream'. Marsh was added to distinguish from the other villages named Welton in Lincolnshire. Charles Townshend, 2nd Viscount Townshend, (; 18 April 167421 June 1738) was an English Whig statesman. He served for a decade as Secretary of State for the Northern Department, 1714–1717, 1721–1730.
