In an internal combustion engine, a turbocharger (often called a turbo) is a forced induction device that is powered by the flow of exhaust gases. It uses this energy to compress the intake gas, forcing more air into the engine in order to produce more power for a given displacement. The current categorisation is that a turbocharger is powered by the kinetic energy of the exhaust gasses, whereas a supercharger is mechanically powered (usually by a belt from the engine's crankshaft). Boost is a brand of chocolate bar manufactured by Cadbury. The bar is sold in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. It consists of milk chocolate with a caramel and biscuit filling. History Boost was introduced in the UK in 1985 as Coconut Boost, a coconut and caramel bar coated in chocolate. In 1989 the peanut and caramel Starbar was rebranded as Peanut Boost. A biscuit and caramel version was also launched. The coconut bar was discontinued in 1994 and the peanut version was again rebranded as Starbar. The biscuit version is now the standard Boost bar. Shoplifting is the theft of goods from an open retail establishment, typically by concealing a store item on one's person, in pockets, under clothes or in a bag, and leaving the store without paying. With clothing, shoplifters may put on items from the store and leave the store wearing the clothes. The terms ''shoplifting'' and ''shoplifter'' are not usually defined in law. Lego Boost
A Lego theme is a product line of Lego construction toys produced by The Lego Group based on a central concept. Before 1978, Lego produced several construction sets with common themes, but they were not necessarily branded as part of a single series or theme. Following the introduction of minifigures in 1978, owner Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen pushed a new strategy of creating and marketing a series of sets he termed a "system within the system" and the three original environments (based on the present, past and future, respectively) were launched: Town, Castle, and Space. In 1987, Lego created themes within these environments, as well as introducing branding that identified a set as part of a theme. Boosted (formerly Boosted Boards) was an American manufacturer of electric skateboards and electric scooters based in Mountain View, California. History 2012–2016 Boosted was founded in mid-2012 with financial backing by StartX. The company was founded by Sanjay Dastoor, John Ulmen, and Matthew Tran, who delivered a TED talk on the subject in 2013. The company started a Kickstarter campaign promising a premium electric skateboard called the "Boosted Board" for a $100,000 goal. It was a massive success, and generated over $467,000 from backers. Boost is a nutritional drinks brand made by Swiss company Nestlé. The brand also produces Boost Glucose Control for people with type 2 diabetes. History In 2010, the Federal Trade Commission reached a settlement with Nestlé over its claims that Boost Kid Essentials would prevent certain illnesses with the company agreeing to stop asserting the claims unless they were approved by regulators. Nestle also agreed to stop claiming the drink will reduce children's sick-day absences and the duration of acute diarrhea in children up to age 13 unless the claims are backed by at least two "well-designed human clinical studies." Nestlé said in a statement that the settlement provided clarity regarding new advertising standards applicable to health benefit claims for Boost Kid Essentials and similar products.
