Bonnyton Thistle Football Club is a Scottish football team based in the Bonnyton area in the town of Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire. They are members of the West of Scotland Football League, in the sixth tier of the Scottish football league system, having joined the league in 2020 from the South of Scotland Football League. Founded in 1912, they were previously a youth and amateur team. Their home ground is The Synergy Arena, located in the Townholm area of Kilmarnock, which has a capacity of 1,000. It was opened in 2017 to coincide with the club's move into senior football. Kilmarnock
Kilmarnock (, sco, Kilmaurnock; gd, Cill Mheàrnaig (IPA:[kʰʲɪʎˈveaːɾnəkʲ]), "Marnock's church") is a large town and former burgh in East Ayrshire, Scotland and is the administrative centre of East Ayrshire, East Ayrshire Council. Neil McGowan
Neil William McGowan (born 15 April 1977 in Glasgow) is a Scottish professional footballer who is currently player/first-team coach in the Scottish Juniors with Troon. Playing career McGowan was signed by Queen of the South manager Gordon Chisholm in 2007 and was primarily a centre back, who could also play full back. When signing for the Doonhamers, McGowan had already played for six other clubs that included Stranraer, Albion Rovers, Oxford United, Clydebank, KA Akureyri (Iceland) and Airdrie United. McGowan then signed for Ayr United on 25 January 2008. Thomas O'Ware (born 20 March 1993) is a Scottish professional footballer, who plays for Kelty Hearts in Scottish League Two as a defender. O'Ware has previously played for Greenock Morton and Partick Thistle. He is also the Head Coach with the Troon F.C. Development Team, who compete in the Lowland Development League (West). Derek Stillie
Derek Daniel Stillie (born 3 December 1973) is a Scottish retired footballer, who played as a goalkeeper for a number of clubs in Scotland and England. After retiring from football, Stillie pursued a career in English law, and contested the 2019 UK general election as the Conservative candidate for the Central Ayrshire constituency. Craig Ian Conway (born 2 May 1985) is a retired Scottish professional footballer who played as a winger. He made seven full international appearances for the Scottish national team between 2009 and 2013. Conway started his career with Ayr United before moving to Scottish Premier League side Dundee United in 2006. Ayr did not receive compensation for the deal until 10 months after he left.
