Tom Flynn (musician)
Fang is an American hardcore punk band from the early East Bay punk rock scene, established in Berkeley, California, in 1980. History The band's first record under the name Fang was an "experimental record", according to the band; this was the "Yukon Fang" single. Fang guitarist Tom Flynn and bass player Brian Beattie, his former bandmate from the bands Tapeworm and Safety Patrol, put out "Yukon Fang" as a duo, and Fang was formed. The original incarnation of Fang toured the country once, only to break up shortly thereafter with Beattie moving on to Texas where he later formed the band Glass Eye. In the early fall of 1981, Flynn began playing with drummer Chris Ritter. They soon added bass player Chris Wilson and began playing shows in the Bay Area as a three piece, with Flynn on vocals. While this was happening, Sam McBride, the band's soon-to-be vocalist, was singing with future Fang drummer Greg Langston in the band Shut Up. In early 1982, Ritter was replaced with drummer ...

Ozma (album)
''Ozma'' is the second studio album by the Melvins, released in 1989 through Boner Records. It is the first Melvins album to feature Lori Black on bass guitar and was recorded when the band relocated to San Francisco. Background and release "Love Thing" is a cover of the KISS song "Love Theme from KISS" from their eponymous debut album. "Creepy Smell" begins with the intro to the song "Living In Sin" from Gene Simmons' solo album. " Candy-O" is originally by the Cars and was a bonus track on the cassette and CD editions. The title refers to the character Princess Ozma from the Oz series of books. The CD version includes the entire ''Gluey Porch Treatments'' album. The track listing that is printed on the CD lists 34 tracks, but the CD only has 33 tracks. This is due to "Exact Paperbacks" and "Happy Grey or Black" being mistakenly combined on track 23 and not split into separate tracks as credited. The album's cover art was drawn by Spazz bassist and owner of Slap-a-Ham Re ...

Fearless Iranians From Hell
Fearless Iranians from Hell were a band from San Antonio, Texas. Founded in 1983, their sound was initially hardcore/punk and later changed to crossover/thrash metal. The band was formed in 1983 by members of the group Marching Plague, who donned ski masks, posing as terrorists. Photographer John Cohen related that the original lineup only played three or four shows before the lineup started changing. Ras Matthew (born Matthew McChesney) was 16 when he sang for the group in the 1980s. He left the band, later becoming a Rastafarian and playing with the reggae group Buffalo Soldier. Fearless Iranians from Hell signed to the Boner Records label. Their first release in 1986 was their self-titled 7" ''Fearless Iranians from Hell''. The EP includes the songs "Blow Up the Embassy" and "Iranian Klan". "Blow Up The Embassy" has been covered by Birth A.D. Their first full album, ''Die for Allah'', was released in 1987. The album was also released under the Big Takeover label in Germany. ...

Joe Preston (album)
''Joe Preston'' is an EP by then-Melvins bassist Joe Preston, released in 1992 through Boner Records. It is believed that he is the only performer on the record and that the other two performers are a hoax; "Salty Green" is a known pseudonym of Preston, also seen on the " Night Goat" single. Denial Fiend was a pseudonym for Martin Ain who was in the band Hellhammer. The cover art for the album is a parody of the cover art from Ace Frehley's 1978 solo album. The credit for Marina Sirtis as "Counselor" is a reference to the actress that played Counselor Deanna Troi on the television series '' Star Trek: The Next Generation''. Joe Preston is credited for vocals albeit the whole album is instrumental, intermixed with several voice clips sourced from elsewhere. Buzz Osborne has gone on record to say this is one of his least favorite Melvins releases, according to a CMJ New Music article in 2005: Track listing Personnel * Joe Preston – vocals, mixing *Denial Fiend – Helli ...

He is also guitarist and vocalist for Altamont. He has toured with Fantômas (filling in for Dave Lombardo), Off!, and Redd Kross. In late 1985, Crover played bass in Fecal Matter, a band he formed with Kurt Cobain and Greg Hokanson. After Hokanson left the band, Cobain and Crover recorded '' Illiteracy Will Prevail'' on a 4-track on Easter 1986 at Cobain's aunt's home in Seattle, Washington. Crover played bass and drums on the demo. "Spank Thru" from this demo appears on the Nirvana album '' Sliver: The Best of the Box''. Fecal Matter d ...

King Buzzo (EP)
''King Buzzo'' is an EP by Melvins' guitarist Buzz Osborne, which was released in 1992 through Boner Records. Osborne recruited Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl for the project. Grohl is credited as "Dale Nixon", in reference to the pseudonym Greg Ginn adopted for playing bass on Black Flag's '' My War''. Osborne does not appear on "Skeeter" as it is a remix of the song "Just Another Story About Skeeter Thompson" that Grohl recorded for his '' Pocketwatch'' solo album. Skeeter Thompson was the bassist of Grohl's old band Scream. The cover art for the album is a parody of the cover art from Gene Simmons' 1978 solo release. Roger "Buzz" Osborne (born March 25, 1964), also known as King Buzzo, is an American guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. He is a founding member of the rock band Melvins, as well as Fantômas and Venomous Concept. Biography Born in Morton, Washington, Osborne is of English, Italian and Jewish descent. He moved to Montesano, Washington at the age of 12. He first started listening to the music of Aerosmith and Ted Nugent, then became greatly interested in punk rock after a few years. In the early 1980s, Osborne founded the Melvins with Matt Lukin and Mike Dillard who all attended Montesano High School (Wheeler Building) where he graduated in 1982. The Melvins began playing fast hardcore punk after Osborne was introduced to bands such as Black Flag, Flipper, and MDC by a friend.
