Bol (band)
BOL (initiated 1995 in Trondheim, Norway) is a Norwegian experimental jazz and electronica band in a quartet/trio format, known for performances and releases in the borderline between jazz, noise and electronica. BOL consisted originally of Tone Åse vocals and musical director, Ståle Storløkken (keyboards and piano), Tor Yttredal (saxophone) and Tor Haugerud (drums). The new trio format (Yttredal left the band around 2000) they made (mainly Storløkken) the commissioned work «Interference harmony» for ''Trondheim Kammerfestival'' 2003. Trondheim
Trondheim ( , , ; sma, Tråante), historically Kaupangen, Nidaros and Trondhjem (), is a city and municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. As of 2020, it had a population of 205,332, was the third most populous municipality in Norway, and was the fourth largest urban area. Trondheim lies on the south shore of Trondheim Fjord at the mouth of the River Nidelva. Hans Magnus Ryan, alias "Snah", (born 31 December 1969 in Trondheim, Norway) is a Norwegian rock musician (guitar & vocals), known as front figure of the band Motorpsycho. Career In 1989 Ryan and bassist Bent Sæther together with drummer Kjell Runar "Killer" Jenssen, formed Motorpsycho as an alternative metal band that very soon developed into a unique blend of heavy metal, grunge and indie rock, as well as exploring the sonic noise experiments that is associated with the Associate Member Deathprod. After the debut album ''Lobotomizer'' (1991) was Håkon Gebhardt (b. 1969), new drummer. The ambitious, progressive album ''Demon Box'' (1993) gave the band a nomination for the Spellemannprisen, and secured Motorpsycho a loyal group of followers in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands as well as in Scandinavia. Stian Westerhus
Stian Westerhus (born 2 April 1979) is a Norwegian guitarist known for his experimental style, explored with keyboardist Øystein Moen in the bands Jaga Jazzist and Puma and with Sidsel Endresen, Nils Petter Molvær, Arve Henriksen, Jan Bang, and Ingar Zach. Career Westerhus holds a bachelor in jazz from Middlesex University under Stuart Hall, and a master from the Jazz program at Trondheim Musikkonservatorium, (NTNU, 2005). He was first recognised by a broader audience within the experimental jazz band Puma, with whom he released four albums. The soloalbum ''Pitch Black Star Spangled'' (2010) on Rune Grammofon got some attention in reviews. The album ''Didymoi Dreams'' (2012) is his debut as a duo with experimental jazz singer Sidsel Endresen, a meeting of experience insane guitar rhythms with a gibberish vocal world.
