The Barcelona Metro (Catalan and Spanish: ) is an extensive network of rapid transit electrified railway lines that run mostly underground in central Barcelona and into the city's suburbs. It is part of the larger public transport system of Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, Spain, with unified fares under the (ATM) scheme. As of 2014, the network is operated by two separate companies: (TMB) and (FGC). It is made up of 12 lines, combining the lines owned by the two companies. Two lines, L9 and L10, are being built at present, with both lines having different sections of each opened between 2009 and 2018. They are due to be fully completed in 2026. Sant Martí (), is a district of Barcelona located on its eastern side, usually numbered 10 out of the ten districts of the city. It borders the Mediterranean Sea, Sant Adrià del Besòs and four other districts of the city: Ciutat Vella, l'Eixample, Horta-Guinardó and Sant Andreu. It did not become an integral part of Barcelona until as late as 1897, having been an autonomous village since 1714 with the imposition of the infamous Nueva Planta decrees. Line 4, also known as Trinitat Nova – La Pau, usually called "línia groga" (yellow line), is a line in the Barcelona Metro network operated by TMB, and part of the ATM fare-integrated transport network. Barceloneta () is a station belonging to line L4 of Barcelona Metro. It is located in La Barceloneta neighbourhood, close to the beach and Parc de la Ciutadella. This is the station nearest to Barcelona França railway station, one of the city's major railway stations and one of the R2 commuter line stops. The station is the least deep underground metro station in the whole system. Selva de Mar is a Barcelona Metro and Trambesòs station located in Poblenou, Sant Martí district, Barcelona. It's located under carrer de Pujades, between carrer de Provençals (where the step-free entrance is located) and carrer de Selva de Mar - where the alternative entrance is. The metro station, served by L4, was opened in as part of the elongation of the line from Barceloneta. The tramway station is a 2004 addition, opened that year along with other stations in the T4 route.
