Bocognano (; co, Bucugnà, ) is a Communes of France, commune located in the Departments of France, department of Corse-du-Sud, on the island of Corsica, France. Afa, Corse-du-Sud
Afa (, ; co, Afà) a commune in the Corse-du-Sud department on the island and collectivity of Corsica, France. The inhabitants are called ''afayens'' () or ''afayennes'' () in French, ''afaghjinchi'' (singular: ''afaghjincu'', ''afaghjinca'') in Corsican, and ''afaianesi'' (singular: ''afaianese'') historically in Italian. Monte Renoso
Monte Renoso ( co, Monti Rinosu) is a mountain in the departments of Haute-Corse and Corse-du-Sud on the island of Corsica, France. It is the highest peak in the Monte Renoso massif. Location The peak of Monte Renoso is on the boundary between the commune of Ghisoni in Haute-Corse and the communes of Bastelica and Bocognano in Corse-du-Sud. The peak is located on the S-shaped backbone of the island. The Punta Bacinello is to the north, the Punta alla Vetta is to the west and the Punta Orlandino is to the south. Col de Vizzavona ( co, Bocca di Vizzavona) is a mountain pass at the centre of the French island of Corsica. Location Col de Vizzavona is located between the two major peaks on Corsica: the Monte d'Oro (altitude ), 3 km north-northwest, and the Monte Renoso (), 6 km south-southeast. Gravona
The Gravona is a river on the island of Corsica, France. It flows from the center of the island southwest to the Gulf of Ajaccio. Its entire course is in the Corse-du-Sud Department of France. It is long. The Gravona Valley conducts the main highway, Route N193, from the capital city, Ajaccio, to the Col de Vizzavona, where it goes through the pass and down to Corte and Bastia. At its upper end the Gravona is a crystal-clear mountain stream cascading over falls and rapids into trout-filled pools. At its lower end nearly all of the Gravona's flow serves to water the densely urban area of Ajaccio.
