Bob Jones (Australian Footballer)
Bob Jones (born 22 October 1961) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Jones, an Indigenous Australian, grew up in Darwin, but came to St Kilda from Northern Tasmanian Football League (NTFL) club Devonport, at pick 44 of the 1987 National Draft. Already 26 when he made his debut for St Kilda in the 1988 VFL season, Jones's 19 games that year were spent as a ruckman and in defence. Jones was also named in the Northern Territory squad for the 1988 Adelaide Bicentennial Carnival. Devonport Football Club
Devonport Football Club is an Australian rules football club based in Devonport, Tasmania. The club currently competes in the North West Football League (NWFL). The club previously competed in the Northern Tasmanian Football League, but from 2009 it joined the newly reformed Tasmanian State League, where it played until withdrawing before the 2018 season. The 1989 VFL season was the 93rd season of the Victorian Football League (VFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition and administrative body in Victoria and, by reason of it featuring clubs from New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia, the ''de facto'' highest level senior competition in Australia. The Western Bulldogs are a professional Australian rules football team that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's premier competition. Founded in 1877 as the Footscray Football Club, and based in West Footscray in the old City of Footscray west of Melbourne, the club won nine premierships in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) before gaining admission to the Victorian Football League (which became the AFL in 1990) in 1925. Liam Jones is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Western Bulldogs in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by the Western Bulldogs in the second round of the 2008 AFL Draft, and made his senior debut in 2010.
