Blythe Duff
Blythe Duff (born 25 November 1962) is a Scottish actress best known for her role as Jackie Reid in the ITV television series drama, ''Taggart''. Background Duff was born and raised in East Kilbride. Her love of acting started with youth theatre. On leaving Hunter High School she joined The Company, a youth opportunities theatre company, based at the Glasgow Arts Centre in Washington Street and spent her summers with the Scottish Youth Theatre. She entered the profession in 1983 with her first job at the Young Playwrights Festival (Scottish Youth Theatre/The Traverse). Career Duff's career began in the theatre, starting with the Scottish Youth and Community Theatre in Glasgow. She worked in theatre for seven years, appearing with Scottish Opera in ''Street Scene'' as Shirley Kaplan in 1989, and at the Coliseum Theatre in London with the English National Opera. East Kilbride
East Kilbride (; gd, Cille Bhrìghde an Ear ) is the largest town in South Lanarkshire in Scotland and the country's sixth-largest locality by population. It was also designated Scotland's first new town on 6 May 1947. National Theatre Of Scotland
The National Theatre of Scotland, established in 2006, is the national theatre company of Scotland. The company has no theatre building of its own; instead it tours work to theatres, village halls, schools and site-specific locations, both at home and internationally. Citizens Theatre
The Citizens Theatre, in what was the Royal Princess's Theatre, is the creation of James Bridie and is based in Glasgow, Scotland as a principal producing theatre. Girlguiding Scotland
Girlguiding Scotland is part of the worldwide Guiding movement. It is the country's largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women with 61,375 members in 3,500 units throughout Scotland. History The origins of the Guiding and Scouting movement date back to Allison Greenlees (then Allison Cargill) at Laurel Bank School. She started the Cuckoo Patrol, after reading an edition of '' Scouting for Boys'' and wanted something like the Boy Scouts to be available to girls. In 1907 Robert Baden-Powell formed the Boy Scouts as a training organisation for boys. Colin McCredie (born 8 June 1972 in Dumbarton, Scotland) is a Scottish actor, best known for his role as DC Stuart Fraser in the STV drama ''Taggart'', Nick Morrison in the BBC Scotland Soap Opera ''River City'' and in the films '' Shallow Grave'', '' Night is Day'' and ''The Missing Postman''. John Michie
John Michie (born 25 October 1956) is a Scottish television and film actor, known for his roles as DI Robbie Ross in the STV detective drama series ''Taggart'', as Karl Munro in ''Coronation Street'' from 2011–2013 and his role as CEO Guy Self in ''Casualty'' and ''Holby City''.
