Blue Line (Dubai Metro)
The Blue Line is a proposed line on the Dubai Metro network in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is currently approved for construction. This was originally proposed for construction starting along with the Purple Line and completion in 2012. Due to the recession it was taken under reconsideration and the RTA fixed a deadline of 2014 for completion of this line. However, as of August 2021, construction has not yet started. The Blue line is proposed to run between Dubai International Airport and the newer Al Maktoum International Airport in Jebel Ali, along Emirates Road. Dubai Metro
The Dubai Metro is a rapid transit rail network in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is currently operated by the French company Keolis. The Red Line and Green Line are operational, with a major 15 km (9.3 mi) extension to the Red Line known as Route 2020 to the Expo 2020 site announced in April 2015 and opened in 2021. These first two lines run underground in the city centre and on elevated viaducts elsewhere. It begins in New Al Falah in Abu Dhabi and extends north-eastward towards the Ras al-Khaimah emirate. The Green Line is one of the two lines in the Dubai Metro network in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It runs through Deira and Bur Dubai, generally parallel to Dubai Creek.
