Bloodied But Unbowed (album)
''Bloodied, but Unbowed'' is the debut album by the American band Desperado. It was released by Destroyer Records in 1996. Re-titled under its original title, ''Ace'', it was re-issued in 2006 by Angel Air Records in the UK (including extensive sleeve notes by Record Collector magazine's Joe Geesin, featuring interviews by Bernie Tormé and Dee Snider) and Deadline Records in the U.S. with the songs "Easy Action" and "Heart of Saturday Night" cut from the track listing. Argentina's Del Imaginario Discos also released the album in 2007. "Gone Bad", "Calling for You", "Emaheeval", and "Easy Action" were re-recorded by Snider's next band, Widowmaker, for their 1992 debut album, ''Blood and Bullets''. Desperado (band)
Desperado was an American heavy metal band formed by Dee Snider in 1988, after Twisted Sister was disbanded. The band dissolved in the early 1990s due to problems with the record label and the then emerging grunge trend. The album, much bootlegged, was issued officially some years later and reissued as Ace on ''Angel Air''. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Angel Air is an English independent record label established in February 1997, specialising in reissues of classic pop and rock albums originally issued in the 1960s and 1970s (and latterly new albums from known artists up to the 21st century). It was formed by Peter and Shirley Purnell. Deadline Music is a record sub-label wholly owned and operated by Cleopatra Records. Deadline was founded at the turn of the century during a revival of 1980s glam/hair metal bands in which there were new albums from Quiet Riot, White Lion, Warrant, Cinderella, Bret Michaels, and L.A. Guns. The label produced a series of compilations, including ''This Is Hair Metal'', ''More '80s Hair Metal'', and the box set ''Hollywood Rocks!''. Clive Ronald Burr (8 March 1957 – 13 March 2013) was an English drummer. He was a member of the heavy metal band Iron Maiden from 1979 to 1982. Career Previously a member of Samson, Burr joined Iron Maiden in 1979.
