''Blood of the Nations'' is the twelfth studio album by German heavy metal band Accept. It is the band's first studio recording since 1996's ''Predator'' and the first album to feature vocalist Mark Tornillo and drummer Stefan Schwarzmann. It is the first Accept album without Udo Dirkschneider on vocals since '' Eat the Heat'' (1989), and the band's first album to feature guitarist Herman Frank since ''Balls to the Wall'' (1983). Reception Since its release, ''Blood of the Nations'' has been met with positive reviews. Reviewer Scott Alisoglu of Blabbermouth.net reviewed the album positively saying that ''Blood of the Nations'' "is the shot in the arm that fans of traditional heavy metal needed", and gave the album 8.5 out of 10. Accept (band)
Accept are a German heavy metal band from the town of Solingen, formed in 1976 by guitarist Wolf Hoffmann and former members Udo Dirkschneider (vocals) and Peter Baltes (bass). Their beginnings can be traced back to the late 1960s, when the band got its start under the name Band X. Accept's lineup has changed over the years, which has included different singers, guitarists, bassists and drummers. Their current lineup consists of Hoffmann, vocalist Mark Tornillo, guitarists Uwe Lulis and Philip Shouse, drummer Christopher Williams and bassist Martin Motnik. Wolf Hoffmann
Wolf Hoffmann (born 10 December 1959) is a German musician, primarily known as the guitarist and last remaining original member of heavy metal band Accept since 1976. His work in Accept influenced the development of speed metal genre. He is also one of the first players of neoclassical metal. Hoffmann has played in all Accept's line-ups since 1976. The band was inactive between 1997 and 2008 except some live performances in 2005. The band was reformed by Hoffmann and another original member Peter Baltes in 2009 after they met the singer Mark Tornillo. Their comeback album, ''Blood of the Nations'', was released on 20 August 2010 to overwhelmingly positive reviews. Four follow-up albums were released successively since then. Baltes left Accept in 2018 and Hoffmann is now the last original member. Hoffmann has released two neoclassical solo albums, '' Classical'' (1997) and '' Headbangers Symphony'' (2016). ''Blind Rage'' is the 14th studio album by German heavy metal band Accept (band), Accept. It was released on 15 August 2014 on Nuclear Blast, Nuclear Blast Records. The album debuted at number one on the German albums chart. This is Accept's last album with guitarist Herman Frank and drummer Stefan Schwarzmann, who both left the band in December 2014. Background The album's title and cover artwork were revealed in early April 2014. At the same time, it was announced that the album was due to be released on 18 July 2014. However, this would later be pushed back to 15 August 2014. The band announced a touring schedule to promote the album. Four US dates were performed in mid-September 2014. Following that, the band will tour Europe in September and October 2014. Several Australian shows are also scheduled for November 2014. ''Russian Roulette'' is the seventh studio album by German heavy metal music, heavy metal band Accept (band), Accept, released in 1986. It was again recorded at Dierks-Studios, but the band chose to self-produce rather than bring back Dieter Dierks as record producer, producer. It would be the last Accept album to feature Udo Dirkschneider as lead vocalist until the 1993 reunion album ''Objection Overruled (album), Objection Overruled''. The album returns Accept to the darker, heavier sound of releases prior to the more commercial-sounding predecessor ''Metal Heart''.
