Blind (Korn Song)
"Blind" is a song by American nu metal band Korn for their self-titled debut album. It was released as the album's first single in August 1994. Music and structure "Blind" had been written while Jonathan Davis was in Sexart before he left the band to join Korn. The song was composed entirely by Dennis Shinn. Korn's contribution came once they re-recorded the song for their debut album LP 1994. Even though the song was completed by Sexart, Korn added an extended song intro, utilizing drum cymbals, and an added small Bass-Line. Their addition acted as an intro that led into the original intro composed by Sexart. Also, Korn applied a small musical change away from Sexart's version, which landed under the vocal chorus ''"I'm so blind"'' lyric. That change didn't occur until the Korn LP was recorded. Korn (stylized as KoЯn, or occasionally KoRn) is an American nu metal band from Bakersfield, California, formed in 1993. The band is notable for pioneering the nu metal genre and bringing it into the mainstream. Jonathan Howsmon Davis (born January 18, 1971), also known as JD or JDevil, is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He is best known as the lead vocalist and frontman of nu metal band Korn, who are considered a pioneering act of the nu metal genre. Davis' distinctive personality and Korn's music influenced a generation of musicians and performers who have come after them. Davis co-founded Korn in Los Angeles in 1993 with the dissolution of two bands, Sexart and L.A.P.D. He had led Sexart during his years as an assistant coroner. Davis rapidly gained notoriety for his intense and powerful live performances with Korn. ''Live on the Other Side'' is the second live video album by American nu metal band Korn. It contains footage of the band's first US show in 2005, played at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on 29 November 2005. It is Korn's first live album as a quartet without their original guitarist Brian "Head" Welch, who departed from the band in 2005. The album also includes documentary, backstage videos, and interviews with the band. The first 70,000 copies of ''Live on the Other Side'' contained a voucher that gave opportunity to be exchanged for two tickets for the 2006 edition of the Family Values Tour. The title ''Live on the Other Side'', at the time, suggested that the band would play most of the songs from their album '' See You on the Other Side'', but Korn only ended up playing four. Who Then Now?
Who Then Now? is a biographical video released by American nu metal band Korn on March 18, 1997. It was certified platinum in the United States by the RIAA on May 5, 1999. History It features interviews with the band up to the recording of ''Life Is Peachy'', plus music videos for " Blind", " Shoots and Ladders", "Clown", and " Faget". The last video, "Faget", like " Good God", was never released. The original VHS is out of production, but it can be found in its entirety on the follow-up release, ''Deuce'', which effectively picks up where ''Who Then Now?'' left off and follows the band up to the recording of '' Untouchables''.
