Blidinje Nature Park () is a nature park in Bosnia and Herzegovina, established on 30 April 1995. It is situated at the Blidinje plateau, in the heart of Dinaric Alps, between major mountains of the range, Čvrsnica, Čabulja and Vran, with characteristic karstic features such as Dugopolje field, Blidinje Lake, Grabovica and Drežanka valleys, and others. It represents important natural, hydrogeological reserves in Dinaric karst of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with significant cultural and historical heritage. Geography and hydrology The melting glaciers from Čvrsnica during the two past ice ages created this open and barren valley. Blidinje Lake
Blidinje Lake ( bs, Blidinje jezero), is alpine lake located in Blidinje Nature Park, on karstic Blidinje plateau, Bosnia and Herzegovina, between Jablanica, Tomislavgrad and Posušje, and is largest of its kind in the country. The lake is most important hydrogeological feature of the park and indeed entire Dinaric Alps karst within Bosnia and Hezegovina. The lake area varies from 2.5 to 6 km2, and the average depth is about 1.9 m. Posušje
Posušje ( cyrl, Посушје, ) is a town and municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the West Herzegovina Canton, a federal unit of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Name The name Posušje is derived from ''suša'' (Serbo-Croatian for drought). The area of Posušje was historically a dry area with water-supply problems. The Neretva ( sr-cyrl, Неретва, ), also known as Narenta, is one of the largest rivers of the eastern part of the Adriatic basin. Four HE power-plants with large dams (higher than 150,5 metres) provide flood protection, power and water storage. It is recognized for its natural environment and diversity of its landscape. Čvrsnica
Čvrsnica ( sr-cyrl, Чврсница, ) is a mountain in the Dinarides of Bosnia and Herzegovina, located in northern Herzegovina. Most of the mountain is located in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton municipalities of Mostar and Jablanica, while the smaller part of the mountain, around 10% is located in the municipality of Posušje. The highest peak (Pločno) is 2228 metres. Čvrsnica is surrounded by the river Neretva from the east (20 km), its tributaries Doljanka (18 km) from the north and Drežanka (19.8 km) from the south, the Dugo Polje field (12 km) and Vran mountain from west. Tomislavgrad
Tomislavgrad (), also known by its former name Duvno (), is a town and municipality located in Canton 10 of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It mainly covers an area of the historical and geographical region of Tropolje. As of 2013, it has a population of 33,032 inhabitants. In the Roman times it was known as Delminium. Doljanka River
The Doljanka River is a right tributary of Neretva river in North Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina.Spahić M. et al. (2000): Bosna i Hercegovina (1:250.000).
