"Blessed" is a song written by Brett James, Troy Verges, and Hillary Lindsey and recorded by American country music artist Martina McBride. It was released in October 2001 as the second single from McBride’s ''Greatest Hits'' compilation album. Martina Mariea McBride (née Schiff, born July 29, 1966) is an American country music singer-songwriter and record producer. She is known for her soprano singing range and her country pop material. McBride was born in Sharon, Kansas, and relocated to Nashville, Tennessee in 1989. Jonathan Yudkin is an American multi-instrumentalist who is a proficient player of banjo, violin, mandolin, and other stringed instruments. He is a Nashville-based session musician, record producer, arranger, and band leader.
