Blenheim Blades
The Blenheim Blades are a Canada, Canadian junior hockey, junior ice hockey team based in Blenheim, Ontario. They play in the Provincial Junior Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association and Hockey Canada. History The Blenheim Golden Blades were founded in 1965, but could not find a league to play in locally until 1967. Until 1967, the Blades played an exhibition season against teams from Michigan in an American Junior B league until the OHA playoffs began. In 1968, the Golden Blades joined the Border Cities Junior "B" Hockey League. In 1971, the league was demoted and renamed the Great Lakes Junior "C" Hockey League. In 1974, the team simplified their name to the "Blades". The Blades have won a league title in their franchise history, the 1970 Border Cities Jr. D championship. Provincial Junior Hockey League
The Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL) is a Canadian junior ice hockey league spanning parts of Southern Ontario. The PJHL is the third tier of the Ontario Hockey Association and is sanctioned by the Ontario Hockey Federation and Hockey Canada. The league was formed in 2016 with the merging of eight Junior C leagues. PJHL teams compete for the Clarence Schmalz Cup. History In the works since 2014, it was announced in the spring of 2016 that the eight Junior C leagues of the Ontario Hockey Association would merge for the 2016-17 season to create the Provincial Junior Hockey League. Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League
The Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League was a Junior "C" ice hockey league in Ontario, Canada, sanctioned by the Ontario Hockey Association. The champion of the Great Lakes competed for the All-Ontario Championship and the Clarence Schmalz Cup. It is now a division in the Provincial Junior Hockey League. The league got its start as the Border Cities Junior Hockey League in 1968. It became a Junior B and C league under the Great Lakes name in 1970 before strictly Junior C in 1974. Todd Warriner
Todd Eaton Warriner (born January 3, 1974) is a Canadian retired ice hockey forward. Over the course of his career, Warriner played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Tampa Bay Lightning, Phoenix Coyotes, Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers, and Nashville Predators of the NHL. He also played for several teams in Europe, including Jokerit of the Finnish SM-liiga, and the Hannover Scorpions and Kölner Haie of the German Deutsche Eishockey Liga. Playing career Warriner was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques as their first-round pick, #4 overall, in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. He did not play for Quebec though. Ryan Michael Stewart Jones (born June 14, 1984) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger. Chris Allen (born May 8, 1978) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played two games in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Florida Panthers. Playing career While playing for the Kingston Frontenacs, Allen scored the first ever goal at the CHL Top Prospects Game in 1996. Playing for Team Cherry and held that year at Maple Leaf Gardens, the goal was assisted by the Drummondville Voltigeurs' Daniel Brière. Allen was drafted in the third round, 60th overall, by the Florida Panthers in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft and played two games in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the team. The Mooretown Flags are a Canadian Junior ice hockey team from Mooretown, Ontario. The Flags are members of the Provincial Junior Hockey League.
