Blaster Master 2
''Blaster Master 2'' is a video game developed by Software Creations and published exclusively in North America by Sunsoft of America for the Sega Genesis on March 15, 1993. The game is a sequel to the original '' Blaster Master'' originally published for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It was published specifically for the North American market following the success of the first NES game in the same region. The staff of the original Japanese version of ''Blaster Master'', titled ''Chô Wakusei Senki Metafight'', had nothing to do with ''Blaster Master 2'', and Sunsoft Japan did not release BM2 in Japan. It was reported as being in development for the Super NES in the March 1992 issue of '' Nintendo Power''. Acclaim Studios Manchester (formerly Software Creations) was a British video game developer based in Manchester, England. The company was established in 1985 by Richard Kay. Metroidvania is a sub-genre of platform video games focused on guided non-linearity and utility-gated exploration and progression.
