The Black Lantern Corps is a fictional organization of corporeal revenants (resembling intelligent zombies or jiangshi) appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, related to the emotional spectrum. The group is composed of deceased fictional characters in zombie form that seek to eliminate all life from the DC Universe. Publication history Prior to the ''Blackest Night'' event, Black Hand ("leader" and first member of the Black Lantern Corps) had already been established as a villain within the pages of ''Green Lantern''. Writer Geoff Johns revisited his origin and expanded upon certain aspects of it during the '' Green Lantern: Secret Origin'' story arc (2008). Ivan Reis is a Brazilians, Brazilian comics artist. He is known for his work on comic books such as Dark Horse Comics' ''Ghost (Dark Horse Comics), Ghost'', Marvel Comics' ''Genis-Vell, Captain Marvel'' and ''Vision (Marvel Comics), Avengers Icons: The Vision'' and DC Comics' ''Action Comics'', ''Green Lantern (comic book), Green Lantern'' and ''Aquaman'' series. According to collaborator Geoff Johns, Reis's drawing style resembles those of Alan Davis and Neal Adams. Career For three years, Reis worked for MaurĂ­cio de Sousa in Brazil.
