''Black'' is the third studio album by English singer-songwriter Black, which was released by A&M in 1991. The album reached number 42 in the UK Albums Chart. Background Following the release of his second album ''Comedy'' in 1988, Black spent time writing new material for his third album. After writing approximately 50 songs, he recorded ''Black'' in Power Plant Studios and First Protocol in London, with Robin Millar as the producer. Sam Brown provided vocals on the duet " Fly Up to the Moon" and Robert Palmer also made a guest appearance by backing vocals on "Learning How to Hate". Three singles were released from ''Black'', with two making an appearance in the UK Singles Chart. " Feel Like Change" reached number 56 in May 1991 and " Here It Comes Again" reached number 70 in June 1991. The third and final single, " Fly Up to the Moon", failed to chart. Roy Martin (born 1961) is an English session drummer. Biography Martin was born in Liverpool. Self-taught from a young age, he learnt by playing along to records in his family home. He grew up in Liverpool, playing in bands from his mid teens. He moved to New York City in his early 20s, where he met Ron Saint Germain, a highly established producer who has worked with artists including Muse, Jimi Hendrix, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson. David Freeman (musician)
David Freeman is a British singer, musician and songwriter, best known for being a member of the new wave duo The Lover Speaks during the 1980s. Background Freeman was born in Ilford, Essex, on 25 September 1957 and moved to Coventry at the age of 15. During the mid-1970s, he began his musical career as guitarist in the band Midnight Circus. In 1976, the band evolved into the punk group The Flys, with Freeman providing guitar and vocals. The band recorded a number of singles, two EPs; ''Bunch of Fives'' (1977) and ''Four From the Square'' (1980), and two studio albums; ''Waikiki Beach Refugees'' (1978) and ''Own'' (1979).
