Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth
Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth (formerly Bishopsgarth School) is a comprehensive secondary school with academy status in the Bishopsgarth area of Stockton on Tees, England. It has a mixed intake of both boys and girls, ages 11–16, and had 537 pupils on roll in January 2017. The school is operated by Outwood Grange Academies Trust, and the current principal is Sheriden Hutchinson-Jones. Ralph Pickles is the current chair of governors. History ''Bishopsgarth School'' was a community school operated by the local education authority. Following an inspection in January 2016, Ofsted rated Bishopsgarth School as "requires improvement" in all areas. In June, the school began working with support from Outwood Grange Academies Trust to tackle low-level disruptive behaviour. On the first day of new "no-nonsense" rules coming into force, 15 pupils received fixed-term exclusions for various misdemeanours. Stockton-on-Tees, often simply referred to as Stockton, is a market town in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees in County Durham, England. It is on the northern banks of the River Tees, part of the Teesside built-up area. The town had an estimated population of 84,318 in 2011. It is included in the Tees Valley mayoralty. Fairfield, County Durham
Fairfield is a west Stockton area in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, England. It was originally the site of a field which hosted a fair, hence its name. It is home to several schools and a small library. South of the area, near Hartburn, is older than the northern part of the area, near Bishopsgarth. Geography A green belt divides the suburb from neighbouring Hartburn to the south, while at its western end, Fairfield ends abruptly at the edge of the town.
