Beaudesert is the administrative centre for the Scenic Rim Region. Geography Beaudesert is south of Brisbane and west of the Gold Coast. Beaudesert is located on the Mount Lindesay Highway, some south of Brisbane. Scenic Rim is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland. It was created in the 2017 redistribution, and was won at the 2017 election by Jon Krause. Located in South-East Queensland, Scenic Rim covers the Scenic Rim Region and some areas in the south of Ipswich and Logan extending to the New South Wales border, including the towns of Beaudesert and Boonah. It largely replaces the abolished district of Beaudesert. From results of the 2015 election, Scenic Rim was estimated to be a fairly safe seat for the Liberal National Party with a margin of 9.2%. Boyland is a rural locality in the Scenic Rim Region, Queensland, Australia. In the Boyland had a population of 823 people. Geography Boyland's western extent is defined by the Albert River. In the east the slopes of Tamborine Mountain rise sharply to elevations greater than 500 m. History The area is named after the Boyland railway station which is in turn named after George Boyland, the chairman of Tamborine Shire Council from 1907 to 1908 and supporter of the Canungra branch railway. Boyland Post Office opened on 1 July 1927 (a receiving office had been open from 1915) and closed in 1945. Boyland railway station () was on the Canungra branch railway, which operated from 1915 to 1955. The Scenic Rim Region is a local government area in West Moreton region of South East Queensland, Australia.
