Boyland, Queensland
Boyland is a rural locality in the Scenic Rim Region, Queensland, Australia. In the Boyland had a population of 823 people. Geography Boyland's western extent is defined by the Albert River. In the east the slopes of Tamborine Mountain rise sharply to elevations greater than 500 m. History The area is named after the Boyland railway station which is in turn named after George Boyland, the chairman of Tamborine Shire Council from 1907 to 1908 and supporter of the Canungra branch railway. Boyland Post Office opened on 1 July 1927 (a receiving office had been open from 1915) and closed in 1945. Boyland railway station () was on the Canungra branch railway, which operated from 1915 to 1955. In 1948 a hall in the Canungra Church grounds was relocated to Bibbaddaba Street in Boyland (approx ) to hold Anglican services. The land was donated by Ronald Graham. Mundoolun is a rural locality in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. In the , Mundoolun had a population of 1,551 people. The locality was one of the first pastoral runs in the Logan/Albert River catchment. Geography The locality is located in the Albert River valley, bounded by the Albert River to the east and the Birnam Range to the west. Mundoolun Bridge marks the boundary between the Upper and Lower Albert River reaches. Yarrabilba is a locality in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. In the , Yarrabilba had a population of 3,580 people. Geography As of June 2018, Yarrabilba consists of seven neighbourhoods; The Avenues, Oak Leaf, The Retreat, Sandstone Ridge, Sunrise Crossing, Vista, and Wickham Rise (under construction). The Darlington Parklands are located between the Oak Leaf and Vista neighbourhoods on the corner of Darlington Drive and Yarrabilba Drive. Canungra Branch Railway
The Canungra railway line was a branch railway in South East Queensland, Australia. It connected Logan Village on the Beaudesert line and Canungra. Canungra was the centre of regional timber production from the 1860s with a large sawmill completed in 1885. The private Laheys Tramway, carrying timber from nearby forests to Canungra, opened in 1900. By 1911 there were 18 bullock teams moving sawn timber between Canungra and the railway at Logan Village. A railway from Logan Village to Canungra was first proposed in 1900 with a survey commissioned in 1908. In 1911 the Queensland Government decided to construct the Canungra branch line from Logan Village railway station on the Beaudesert line to Canungra.
