Birkan Batuk
Birkan Batuk (born January 30, 1990) is a Turkish professional basketball player for Gaziantep Basketbol of the Turkish Basketball Super League (BSL). He mainly plays at the shooting guard position, but he also has the ability to play as a small forward, if needed. Professional career Early years Batuk started to play basketball with Pamukspor. He moved to Ülkerspor junior team after his outstanding success with Pamukspor. He signed a professional contract with Alpella after playing for Ülkerspor junior team. He made his professional debut in the Basketbol Süper Ligi, Turkish Basketball Super League with Alpella during the 2006-07 season. The Turkish Basketball Presidential Cup ( tr, Cumhurbaşkanlığı Kupası), sometimes referred to as Turkish Basketball Super Cup, is the professional men's basketball super cup competition that takes place each year in Turkey. The competition began in the year 1985. One game is held to determine the winner of the competition. It is played between the winners of the Basketbol Süper Ligi and the winners of the Turkish Cup season. The Turkish Basketball Second League, also called TB2L, is the third-tier level league of professional club basketball in Turkey. The league was previously called the Turkish Basketball Third League (TB3L). Format and promotion and relegation There are a total of 15 teams participating in the league for the TB2L 2019–20 season. The basketball tournament at the 2013 Mediterranean Games in Mersin took place between 18 June and 25 June. The men's tournament was held at the Servet Tazegül Arena. A women's tournament was also planned, but was cancelled because too few teams applied. Participating nations Following nations applied to compete in men's tournament.
