Birendra Lake (Birendra Tal), is a freshwater lake located in Manaslu Glacier in Gorkha District Gorkha District ( ne, गोरखा जिल्ला ), a part of Gandaki Province, is one of the 77 districts of Nepal, which is the fourth largest district (by area) of Nepal and connected historically with the creation of the modern Nep ... in northern-central Nepal. The lake is named behind the Late King Birendra Shah. . It is nearby Punhyen Glacier and Gompa in Samagaun. The lake spread over the area of three square at the height of 4500m. Trekkers going from Sama Gaun to Manaslu Base Camp can visit this lake in Gandaki Province. Birendra Lake gained attention as the popularity of the Manaslu Circuit Trek steadily increased. Birendra Taal
Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev ( ne, श्री ५ महाराजाधिराज वीरेन्द्र वीर विक्रम शाह देव ) (28 December 1945 – 1 June 2001) was the tenth Shah Ruler and the King of Nepal from 1972 until his assassination in 2001. He was the eldest son of King Mahendra. Early life and education Birendra was born at the Narayanhiti Royal Palace in Kathmandu as the eldest son of the then Crown Prince Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev and his first wife, Crown Princess Indra Rajya Lakshmi Devi. Birendra spent eight years studying at St Joseph's School, a Jesuit school in Darjeeling, with his brother Gyanendra. Samagaun is a village development committee in Gorkha District in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census The 1991 Nepal census was a widespread national census conducted by the Nepal Central Bureau of Statistics.
