BioLineRx (), or BioLine, is a publicly traded drug development company. Headquartered in Israel, its shares are traded on the NASDAQ Capital Market and on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. Corporate history The firm was established in 2003 as a joint venture of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, Teva, Hadasit Bio-Holdings, the Jerusalem Development Authority, Yehuda Zisapel, and other investors. It executed an initial public offering on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange in February 2007, raising 211 million New Israeli shekel, NIS ($50 million) – the TASE's largest biotech IPO until that time. In July 2011 BioLine's American depositary receipt, ADRs began trading on the NASDAQ Capital Market. Bioline International
Bioline International is a non-profit cooperative that operates an online platform for sharing works by peer-reviewed open access bioscience journals published in developing countries in Africa, Asia, and South America. This includes meta data, abstracts, and individual articles in pdf and HTML (when available). Bioline is an international collaboration between the University of Toronto Libraries as stewards, the Reference Center on Environmental Information in Brazil for technical infrastructure, and Bioline UK as a liaison. It was founded by Leslie Chan. In 2010 Prof. Mary Abukutsa-Onyango spoke about the difficulties of publishing her ideas about Africa's vegetables and fruits.
