''Billy the Kid Wanted'' is a 1941 American Western film directed by Sam Newfield. This film is the seventh in the "Billy the Kid" film series produced by PRC from 1940 to 1946, and the first starring Buster Crabbe as Billy the Kid, replacing Bob Steele. The film also features Sam Newfield's son Joel. Plot Tired of always running from the law, Fuzzy leaves his pals Billy and Jeff and heads to Paradise Valley to be a homesteader. However, when he finds himself in trouble and is arrested he sends for them. They find the source of Fuzzy's trouble, Matt Brawley, who controls the town and is running a land swindle. Budd Leland Buster (June 14, 1891 – December 22, 1965), usually credited as Budd Buster (and sometimes Bud Buster), was an American actor known for B western films. He sometimes was credited as George Selk in his later work. Early life Buster was born either Budd Leland Buster or Leland Buster near Colorado Springs, Colorado on June 14, 1891. His parents were John M. Buster and Anna (Annie) Moore Buster, both from Missouri. According to the 1900 census, the family resided in Colorado Springs, and included Buster's one year younger sister, Demple, and his paternal grandmother. By 1920, Buster was part-owner with his father of Colorado Springs Auto and Carriage Livery Company, lived in Ivywild, Colorado, and had two children, Mary Jane (4 years) and John (1 year) with his wife, Mary. Cattle Stampede
''Cattle Stampede'' is a 1943 American Producers Releasing Corporation Western film of the "Billy the Kid" series directed by Sam Newfield. Plot Pursued through Arizona by a gang of outlaws turned bounty hunters for the massive reward on Billy's head, Billy and Fuzzy are led to safety by Ed Dawson. Suspicious as to why anyone would help them, Dawson tells them he feels Billy as not as bad as he is made out to be. More importantly he needs Billy and Fuzzy to work on his cattle ranch in New Mexico which is facing cattle rustling and the murder of their cowboys. The film is also known as ''Frontier Fighters'' (cut American reissue title). Plot On a western land, a governor's daughter ( Marjorie Manners) is kidnapped and held hostage.
