Billabalong Station
Billabalong Station is a pastoral lease that once operated as a sheep station but currently operates as cattle station in Western Australia. It was located north of Mullewa and west of Cue in the Mid West region. The Murchison River runs along the eastern boundary of the property. A pastoral lease, sometimes called a pastoral run, is an arrangement used in both Australia and New Zealand where government-owned Crown land is leased out to graziers for the purpose of livestock grazing on rangelands. Cyclone Emma (2006)
Tropical Cyclone Emma was a weak but unusually large tropical cyclone that affected a substantial portion of Western Australia during the 2005–06 Australian region cyclone season. Forming out of an area of low pressure on 25 February, the precursor to Emma slowly tracked southward. Although classified tropical, the structure of the system represented that of a monsoonal storm. However, low wind shear and well-developed outflow gradually allowed convection to develop near the centre of circulation. As the system approached the Pilbara coastline of Western Australia on 27 February, it intensified into a Category 1 cyclone and attained peak 10-minute sustained winds of . Wool is the textile fibre obtained from sheep and other mammals, especially goats, rabbits, and camelids. Boologooroo Station, commonly referred to as Boologooroo, is a pastoral lease that operates as a sheep station in Western Australia. Description It is situated about north east of Carnarvon and south of Coral Bay in the Gascoyne region. Byro Station
Byro Station is a pastoral lease and sheep station that also carries cattle, located in the Mid West region of Western Australia. Description Situated approximately north of Yalgoo and north west of Cue. The property is approximately in area. The Wooramel River runs across the plains at the western end of the station. The country is undulating and broken with belts of saltbush and grasses. History The area was opened up in 1877 when stock were first introduced into the Upper Murchison. Mr J. R. O'Grady of Milly Milly Station and the prospector G. Woodley took stock to the area and explored the Wooramel River with O'Grady, who took up Byro Plains Station before later selling to the Nairn brothers.
