Bill Roycroft
James William George Roycroft, Officer of the Order of the British Empire, OBE (17 March 1915 – 29 May 2011) was an Australian Olympic equestrianism, equestrian champion. He grew up on a dairy farm and learnt to ride horses there. After serving in the army in World War II, he moved with his family to a Soldier settlement (Australia), soldier's block in western Victoria near Camperdown, Victoria, Camperdown, where he raised his three sons, all of whom went on to compete alongside their father in the Olympics. At his first Olympics, the 1960 Summer Olympics, 1960 Rome Games, he played a key role on the final day of the team eventing, three-day event, despite being thrown off his horse the day before, allowing Australia to win the gold medal in the competition. The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service. Vicki Roycroft
Victoria Roycroft ( Rose, born 17 April 1953) is an Australian Equestrianism, equestrian who competed at three Olympic Games. She was born in Sydney. At the Equestrian at the 1984 Summer Olympics, 1984 Games she competed in the three-day eventing, whereas at the Equestrian at the 1988 Summer Olympics, 1988 and Equestrian at the 1996 Summer Olympics, 1996 Games she competed in the show jumping. Clarke Roycroft
Clarke James Roycroft (born 15 March 1950) is an Australian equestrian. He is the third and youngest son of Bill Roycroft, an Olympic equestrian gold medallist, and his wife, Mavis. He competed in two events at the 1972 Summer Olympics. His brothers Barry Roycroft and Wayne Roycroft are also Olympians. Wayne William Roycroft, (born 21 May 1946) is an Australian equestrian and coach who won two bronze medals at three Olympics. He was the national eventing coach from 1988 to 2010; Australia won four team and two individual medals in the sport during his reign.
