Bill Edwards (basketball)
William Allen Edwards (born August 28, 1971) is an American former professional basketball player. He was a 2.03 m (6'8") tall small forward-power forward. His nickname was "Dollar Bill Edwards". College career Edwards played college basketball at Wright State University, where he became one of the school's legends. He was voted the Summit League Player of the Year in 1993. Professional career Edwards was never drafted by an NBA franchise, and despite having played a few games with the Philadelphia 76ers during the 1993–94 season, it was in Europe that he had a significant 12-year career. He played in the EuroLeague with the Greek club PAOK, in the 1999–00 season, and in the FIBA SuproLeague, with the French club ASVEL, in the 2000–01 season. Middletown is a city located in Butler and Warren counties in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio, about 35 miles (47 km) north of Cincinnati. The population as of the 2020 census was 50,987. It is part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area. RheinStars Köln is a professional basketball club based in Cologne, Germany. The team currently plays in the Regionalliga, the fourth tier basketball league in Germany. The Wright State Raiders are the athletics teams of Wright State University in Fairborn, Ohio. The school currently participates in ten sports at the Division I level of the NCAA and are members of the Horizon League. The school's mascot is a wolf. The 1998 FIBA World Championship was the 13th FIBA World Championship, an international basketball tournament held by the International Basketball Federation and hosted in Greece from 29 July to 9 August 1998. The Summit League men's basketball tournament is the post-season tournament for NCAA Division I conference Summit League. The winner of the tournament receives the Summit League's automatic bid into the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship. The tournament was first played in 1984, when the league was known as the Association of Mid-Continent Universities (AMCU). The Summit League, or The Summit, is an NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic conference with its membership mostly located in the Midwestern United States from Illinois on the East of the Mississippi River to the Dakotas and Nebraska on the West, with additional members in the Western United States, Western state of Colorado and the Southern United States, Southern state of Oklahoma.
