Bill Draut
Bill Draut (August 14, 1921–March 3, 1993) was an American comic book artist best known for his work at Harvey Comics and DC Comics from the 1940s to the 1970s. Biography Bill Draut began his career as an artist in the 1940s by drawing the "Sergeant Stony Craig" comic strip for the Bell Syndicate. After service in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, he then moved into the comic book industry with his earliest confirmed credit appearing in Harvey Comics' ''Stuntman Comics'' #1 (April–May 1946). He worked with Joe Simon and Jack Kirby at Crestwood Publications. In 1956, Draut began drawing romance stories for DC Comics. He later did extensive work on that publisher's mystery titles including ''House of Mystery'', '' House of Secrets'', '' The Unexpected'', and ''Weird War Tales''. The Unexpected (1968 Comic Book)
''The Unexpected'' was a fantasy- horror comics anthology series, a continuation of '' Tales of the Unexpected'', published by DC Comics. ''The Unexpected'' ran 118 issues, from #105 (February–March 1968) to #222 (May 1982). As a result of the so-called DC Implosion of late 1978, beginning in 1979 ''The Unexpected'' absorbed the other DC horror titles '' House of Secrets'', '' The Witching Hour'', and '' Doorway to Nightmare'' into its pages. Horror hosts featured in ''The Unexpected'' included The Mad Mod Witch, Judge Gallows, Abel, and the Witches Three. This title is not to be confused with ''The Unexpected'' published by DC Comics in 2018. A Real American Hero (1985 TV Series)
''G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero'' (also known as Action Force in the UK) is a military-themed line of action figures and toys in Hasbro's G.I. Joe franchise. The toyline lasted from 1982 to 1994, producing well over 500 figures and 250 vehicles and playsets. The line reappeared in 1997 and has continued in one form or another to the present day. It was supported by two animated series (Sunbow, then DIC) as well as a major comic series published by Marvel Comics. The toyline continues to play a large part in Hasbro's G.I. Joe franchise. This version of G.I. Joe is still much recognized by many people who grew up in the 1980s and 1990s. Origin "A Real American Hero" was brought about as a revival of the original G.I.
