Bilal Xhaferri
Bilal Xhaferri (1935 – 1986) was an Albanian writer and political dissident against the Albanian communist regime. He is seen as the representative poet of the Albanian Chameria. Biography Bilal Xhaferri was born on 10 May or 2 November 1935 in Ninat, Konispol to a Cham Albanian family. His father was Xhaferr Hoxha, nephew of Hasan Tahsini. His mother died when he was 8 years of age and when he was 10 the communist regime executed his father, at the end of World War II, due to his support and sympathy for Balli Kombëtar. He grew up with an orphan with his three sisters by his paternal grandfather, Ferik Hoxha. He finished his elementary and secondary education in his hometown and on 1948 he left towards Sarandë as a mail courier, after his grandfather was declared kulak and was expropriated by the authorities. Albanians
The Albanians (; sq, Shqiptarët ) are an ethnic group and nation native to the Balkan Peninsula who share a common Albanian ancestry, culture, history and language. They primarily live in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia as well as in Croatia, Greece, Italy and Turkey. Albanian Literature
Albanian literature stretches back to the Middle Ages and comprises those literary texts and works written in Albanian. It may also refer to literature written by Albanians in Albania, Kosovo and the Albanian diaspora particularly in Italy. Albanian occupies an independent branch within the Indo-European family and does not have any other closely related language. The origin of Albanian is not entirely known, but it may be a successor of the ancient Illyrian language. The Archbishop of Antivari Guillaume Adam wrote a report in 1332 in which he said that Albanians used Latin letters in their books although their language was quite different from the Latin language. The oldest surviving documents written in Albanian are the "Formula e pagëzimit" (Baptismal formula) recorded by Pal Engjëlli, Bishop of Durrës in 1462 in the Gheg dialect, and some New Testament verses from that period. Tirana
Tirana ( , ; aln, Tirona) is the capital and largest city of Albania. It is located in the centre of the country, enclosed by mountains and hills with Dajti rising to the east and a slight valley to the northwest overlooking the Adriatic Sea in the distance. Shefki Mazar Hysa (born on 20 July 1957 to Ersekë, Kolonjë District) - is an Albanian writer and journalist. Biography He continued his elementary studies in Shalës of Konispol, Çamëri region. In 1976, he continued his studies at high school Konispol. In 1989, Shefki Hysa graduated in language and literature at the Faculty of Literature at the University of Tirana. Following his studies he pursued several trainings for journalism in the field of publishing and public relations and international issues. The Drin (; sq, Drin or ; mk, Дрим, Drim ) is a river in Southern and Southeastern Europe with two distributaries one discharging into the Adriatic Sea and the other one into the Buna River.
