Bila Tserkva Raion ( uk, Білоцерківський район) is a raion (district) in Kyiv Oblast of Ukraine. Its administrative center is the city of Bila Tserkva. Population: . On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Kyiv Oblast was reduced to seven, and the area of Bila Tserkva Raion was significantly expanded. Six abolished raions, Rokytne, Skvyra, Stavyshche, Tarashcha, Tetiiv, and Volodarka Raions, as well as the city of Bila Tserkva, which was previously incorporated as a city of oblast significance and did not belong to the raion, and parts of Bohuslav and Vasylkiv Raions, were merged into Bila Tserkva Raion. Raions of Ukraine (often translated as "districts"; Ukrainian: ра́йон, tr. ''raion''; plural: райо́ни, tr. ''raiony'') are the second level of administrative division in Ukraine, below the oblast. Hrebinky ( uk, Гребінки) is an urban-type settlement in Bila Tserkva Raion (district) of Kyiv Oblast (region) in northern Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Hrebinky settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Its population is 6,993 as of the 2001 Ukrainian Census. Current population: . Hrebinky was founded in 1612 as a village, and it retained its village status until it was upgraded to that of an urban-type settlement in 1958. Saint Fursey (also known as Fursa, Fursy, Forseus, and Furseus: died 650) was an Irish monk who did much to establish Christianity throughout the British Isles and particularly in East Anglia.
