Bila (river)
The Bila river is the largest tributary of the Lašva (river), Lašva river. The Bila river flows past the settlements of Stara Bila and Nova Bila (), with a length of approximately 35 km. Originating from Vlašić (Bosnian mountain), Vlašić mountain, in the area of ''Prelivode'' and ''Meupić'' mountain, it flows south to south-east toward Lašva valley where it spills into the Lašva river. The aquifer form which the river source, source of the Bila emerges is shared with the Vrbanja river, Vrbanja, Ilomska, and Ugar (river), Ugar rivers of the Vrbas (river), Vrbas basin in the west, and the Bosna (river), Bosna basin in the east, via rivers of the Usora (region), Usora and Lašva. Ilomska
Ilomska is right tributary of the Ugar river in ( Bosnia). It is about in length, and its source is Vlašić Mountain. It is an essential body of water for surrounding wildlife. Ilomska flows between the Žežnička Greda (altitude ) and Javorak () mountains. It has a curved flow around Lisina () and Runjavica () mountains, through coniferous ( fir and spruce) and mixed spruce- beech woods. Its flow below Petrovo polje ( en, Peter's plain) has sharp curves. The richest right contributors are Manatovac (large stream), Mala Ilomska (Little Ilomska) and Devetero vrela (Nine springs), and left tributary Crna rijeka (Black River). Travnik
Travnik is a town and a municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is the administrative center of Central Bosnia Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is situated in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, west of Sarajevo. As of 2013, the town had a population of 15,344 inhabitants, while the municipality had 53,482 inhabitants. Mountain River
A mountain river is a river that runs usually in mountains, in narrow, deep valley with steep banks, rocky stream bed, and accumulated rock debris. Mountain rivers are characterized by high slope and flow velocity, insignificant depth, frequent rapids and waterfalls, as well as dominated washed out processes. The gradient of a mountain river is calculated at 60–80 m/km in upper stream and 5–10 m/km in lower. More precisely it is greater than or equal to 0.002 m/m along most of its stream length. Speed of stream is measured at 1 to 4.5 m/s and higher. Mountain rivers have significant hydro energy producing potential and in arid conditions often used for irrigation. Meokrnje
Meokrnje (1,425 m) is a mountain in Central Bosnia (Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the masiff chain of internal Dinaris mountains. This is the greatest elevation between Vlašić (1933 m) (the southwest) and Manjača (1358 m) - the northeast. The nearest populated places are Jeezera and Željezno Polje (''Iron Field'') (east), i.e. Šiprage and Korićani (west). On the slopes of Meokrnja there is the watershed ("Prelivode") between the basins of Bosnia (east), Bila ( south), Ugar and Ilomska (west - southwest) and Vrbanja river (northwest). The mountain is rich in mixed and coniferous forests, especially its southwestern slopes (along to Ilomska and Ugar). Usora (region)
Usora ( la, Vozora, hu, Ózora) was important '' zemlja'' (; feudalna oblast ) of the medieval Bosnian state, first banate and later kingdom, although it also had some periods outside its jurisdiction and royal authority, when it was connected with neighboring banates of Slavonia, or Mačva at times. The administrative seat of this ''zemlja'' was Srebrenik, which also served as residence for its rulers for entire period of existence of the medieval Bosnian state. It took its name from the river Usora. Vrbas (river)
The Vrbas ( sr-cyrl, Врбас, ) is a major river with a length of , in western Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a right tributary of the Sava river. The city of Banja Luka is located on the river banks. Etymology The word ''vrba'' means 'willow' in Serbo-Croatian, and a number of weeping willow trees adorn the river banks in Banja Luka. It lent its name to one of the provinces ( banovinas) of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the Vrbas Banovina. Ugar (river)
The Ugar ( sr-cyrl, Угар, known as the ''Brzica'' until 1878) is a river of Bosnia, a tributary of the Vrbas river. It originates at the slopes of Vlašić, upstream of Sažići and Melina villages (at around of 1590 meters above sea level), a watershed area of Vrbanja, Ilomska and Bila rivers. The valley along the Ugar is known as Pougarje. Geography and hydrology The Ugar's length is around 44.5 kilometres, and its catchment is around 328 km2. Vrbanja River
The Vrbanja ( sr-cyrl, Врбања) is a river in Central Bosnia, Bosnia and Herzegovina; with Ugar, the largest right tributary of the Vrbas. Its basin covers an area of approximately 703.5 km2. It has significant hydropower potential. There are many different estimations of the Vrbanja's length, from 70.5 km and 84 km to 95.4 km. Name Like many other sites in Bosnia, Vrbanja is named after the willows that grow along the river from Kruševo Brdo to Banja Luka. Other examples are Vrbanjci village and Vrbanja, near Banja Luka, as well as Vrbas and a bridge in the center of Sarajevo.
