Scott Borchetta
Scott Borchetta (born July 3, 1962) is an American record executive and founder of the Big Machine Label Group. He started the label in 2005 with 13 employees, as its president/CEO and encompasses four imprints: Big Machine Records, BMLG Records, The Valory Music Co. and Nash Icon Records. In 2015, he became an in-house mentor on ''American Idol'' in the program's 14th and 15th seasons. He is also a sports car racing driver in the Trans-Am Series and owner of NASCAR Xfinity Series team Big Machine Racing. Before Big Machine, Borchetta was a race car driver and executive at the Nashville divisions of DreamWorks Records and MCA Records as well as MTM Records. History The inaugural Xfinity Series race at Pocono was held on June 4, 2016 with a scheduled distance of 100 laps/. However, the race was shortened after only 53 laps/ because of persistent rain showers. The race marked the first time NASCAR's second-tier series visited and raced in the state of Pennsylvania since the closure of Nazareth Speedway in 2004. Crayon 200
The Crayon 200 is a NASCAR Xfinity Series race held at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, New Hampshire. When first held in 1990, the race was 300 laps. It was scaled back to 250 laps, the length of the former fall NHMS race, starting in 1993, and again to its current 200 laps in 1996. Until 2010, in 23 races held at NHMS, there had never been a repeat Xfinity Series winner, the longest such streak in any of NASCAR's national touring series. Kyle Busch broke the streak with victories in 2009 and 2010. He would also win the 2011, 2013, 2016, and 2017 Xfinity Series races at the track. Brad Keselowski and Christopher Bell would later also become repeat winners of the Xfinity Series race at New Hampshire. The Alsco Uniforms 250 is a NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia. The race is one of two Xfinity Series races at Atlanta along with the Nalley Cars 250 in the spring. History The track had previously always held one Busch/Nationwide/Xfinity Series Nalley Cars 250, race, but in 2021, when the NASCAR Cup Series got a Quaker State 400 (Atlanta), second race at Atlanta for the first time since 2010, this Xfinity Series race was added to the schedule on the same weekend in July as the new Cup Series race. The Chicago Street Course is a street circuit in the city of Chicago, Illinois, United States that will host the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series on July 1–2, 2023. The Tennessee Lottery 250 is a NASCAR Xfinity Series at Nashville Superspeedway. Sonoma Raceway (originally known as Sears Point Raceway from 1967 to 1980 and 1982 to 2002, Golden State International Raceway in 1981 and Infineon Raceway from 2002 to 2012) is a road course and dragstrip located at Sears Point in the southern Sonoma Mountains of Sonoma County, California. The Pacific Office Automation 147 is a NASCAR Xfinity Series race that is held at the Portland International Raceway road course in Portland, Oregon. This race replaced the B&L Transport 170, the series' race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. It the only standalone race on the Xfinity Series schedule and is held on the same weekend as the NASCAR Cup Series race at Gateway and the Truck Series race at Gateway. NASCAR Xfinity Series At Darlington
Stock car racing events in the NASCAR Xfinity Series has been held at Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina since the series' inaugural season in 1982. Currently, the track holds two races in the spring (as companion to Rebel 400) named Mahindra ROXOR 200 and fall (as companion to Southern 500) named Sport Clips Haircuts VFW 200, both being in distance. Initially only one race was held, but starting in 1984 the track hosted two races per year until 2004 when the track lost its fall weekend date as a result of the realignments caused by the Ferko lawsuit. A realignment in 2015 moved the spring race to the pre-Ferko fall slot. The A-GAME 200 is a NASCAR Xfinity Series stock car race that takes place during the spring at Dover Motor Speedway. History The race was broadcast in the United States on ESPN until 2015, when the race moved to Fox. In 2016, the race was moved to the second week of May because of the NASCAR All-Star Race, and was 200 laps in total with two 40 lap heats and 120 lap main as part of the Xfinity 'Dash 4 Cash' program. In 2017, the race would not use the heat races and would utilize NASCAR's new stage format with stages 1 and 2 being 60 laps each, with last stage being the final 80 laps. The 2020 race was originally scheduled for May 2 before being postponed to August 22 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
