"Big Log" is a song by English recording artist Robert Plant from his second solo studio album, '' The Principle of Moments'' (1983). It was the first single from the album and became his first Top 40 solo hit, peaking at No. 11 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 20 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100. The song also reached No. 6 on the '' Billboard'' Top Tracks chart. Neither of the two words in the title appears in the lyrics. '' Cash Box'' compared the synthesized drums and claps to Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing" and praised Plant's vocal performance. Bassist Viktor Krauss recorded a cover of "Big Log" on his 2004 album ''Far from Enough''. Krauss' sister Alison, who recorded the album ''Raising Sand'' with Plant three years later, sang lead vocals on the track. Robert Plant
Robert Anthony Plant (born 20 August 1948) is an English singer and songwriter, best known as the lead singer and lyricist of the English rock band Led Zeppelin for all of its existence from 1968 until 1980, when the band broke up following the death of John Bonham, the band's drummer. Plant was inducted with the band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995. Plant enjoyed great success with Led Zeppelin from the late 1960s to the end of the 1970s. Glass Pool Inn was a motel located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It initially opened as the Mirage Motel in 1952. An above-ground swimming pool was added in 1955, and included large porthole windows that allowed outsiders to peer inside. The motel became well known for its pool, which was used in numerous films and television shows, as well as music videos and photo shoots. Calico is a ghost town and former mining town in San Bernardino County, California, United States. Located in the Calico Mountains of the Mojave Desert region of Southern California, it was founded in 1881 as a silver mining town, and was later converted into a county park named ''Calico Ghost Town''. Death Valley Junction, more commonly known as Amargosa ( Spanish for "Bitter"), is a tiny Mojave Desert unincorporated community in Inyo County, California, at the intersection of SR 190 and SR 127, in the Amargosa Valley and just east of Death Valley National Park.
