Biffco
Biffco is a music production and songwriting team from Brighton, England, formed by Richard "Biff" Stannard, Julian Gallagher, Ash Howes. The group have worked with a number of high-profile artists, including Kylie Minogue, One Direction, Atomic Kitten, Ellie Goulding, Leona Lewis, Little Mix, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Will Young. They are also largely responsible for the rise of the Spice Girls, Five, and East 17. So far, Biffco have had 41 hit singles, including nine number-ones. Stannard and Howes also worked as music directors and show song producers on ''The X Factor'' since 2010. Members Richard "Biff" Stannard Richard "Biff" Frederick Stannard was born in 1966. "Spice Up Your Life" is a song by English girl group the Spice Girls from their second studio album, '' Spiceworld'' (1997). The song was co-written by the group with Matt Rowe and Richard Stannard, at the same time as the group was shooting scenes for their 1997 film '' Spice World'', while production was handled by the latter two. It is a dance-pop song, with influences of Latin rhythms such as salsa and samba. The song's theme reflects the group desire to "write a song for the world" while the lyrics has been labeled as dance oriented with a self-promoting message. "2 Become 1" is a song by the English girl group the Spice Girls. "Wannabe" is the debut single by English girl group the Spice Girls. Written and composed by the group members in collaboration with Matt Rowe and Richard "Biff" Stannard during the group's first professional songwriting session, it was produced by Rowe and Stannard for the group's debut album, '' Spice'', released in November 1996. The song was written, composed, and recorded very quickly but the result was considered lacklustre by their label and was sent to be mixed by Dave Way.
