Biella–Novara Railway
The Biella–Novara railway is a regional railway line of Piedmont in Italy, that connects Biella to Novara railway node for Milan and Alessandria, serving some countries of the province of Vercelli and Novara. History The railway was inaugurated from 18 May 1939 with the presence of Benito Mussolini, becoming however operational only since 20 July 1940 because of the need to complete several systems and the absence of the rolling stock.Nico Molino, ''7 automotrici da Biella a Novara'', op. cit. Biella San Paolo Railway Station
Biella San Paolo railway station is the main station serving the town and ''comune'' of Biella, in the Piedmont region, northwestern Italy. It is the junction of the Biella–Novara and Santhià–Biella railways. The station is managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) and the commercial area of the passenger building by Centostazioni. Train services are operated by Trenitalia. Each of these companies is a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company. Novara Railway Station
Novara railway station ( it, Stazione di Novara) is the main station serving the city and ''comune'' of Novara, in the Piedmont region, northwestern Italy. Opened in 1854, it forms part of the Turin–Milan and is origin of the lines to Arona, to Alessandria, to Biella, Varallo, Domodossola and Luino, respectively. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). However, the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni. Each of these companies is a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company. The rain services are operated by Trenitalia, SNCF and Trenord. Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) is the Italian railway infrastructure manager, subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), a state-owned holding company. RFI is the owner of Italy's railway network, it provides signalling, maintenance and other services for the railway network. It also operates train ferries between the Italian Peninsula and Sicily. RFI's origins can be traced back to a series of railway sector reforms enacted by the Italian government during the late 1980s and 1990s. The agency was founded on 1 July 2001 in accordance with a European directive on rail transport that mandated the separation of the infrastructure operator and the service operators. Trenitalia is the primary train operator in Italy. A subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, itself owned by the Italian government, the company was established in 2000 following a European Union directive on the deregulation of rail transport. History The Italian government formed Trenitalia to comply with Regulation (European Union), European regulations. The European Commission's First Railway Directive from 1991 (91/440/EC) required separation of accounting between entities which manage the rail infrastructure and entities which provide the actual rail transportation. Biella (; pms, Biela; la, Bugella) is a city and ''comune'' in the northern Italian region of Piedmont, the capital of the province of the same name, with a population of 44,324 as of 31 December 2017. Alessandria
Alessandria (; pms, Lissandria ) is a city and ''comune'' in Piedmont, Italy, and the capital of the Province of Alessandria. The city is sited on the alluvial plain between the Tanaro and the Bormida rivers, about east of Turin. Alessandria is also a major railway hub.
