Bidur Nagarpaalika
Bidur is the capital of Nuwakot District in Bagmati Province, Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 18694 and had 3736 houses in it. In February 2008 terrorists damaged the town's water supply plant. Economy In 2020 the first part of the biggest solar power station in Nepal ( Nuwakot Solar Power Station) was connected to the electric grid. The solar plant is located next to Devighat Hydropower Station. How to reach Here we can reach by taking a local bus/deluxe bus from the capital city of Nepal -Kathmandu. Digital Himalaya
The Digital Himalaya project was established in December 2000 by Mark Turin, Alan Macfarlane, Sara Shneiderman, and Sarah Harrison. The project's principal goal is to collect and preserve historical multimedia materials relating to the Himalaya, such as photographs, recordings, and journals, and make those resources available over the internet and offline, on external storage media. April 2015 Nepal Earthquake
The April 2015 Nepal earthquake (also known as the Gorkha earthquake) killed 8,964 people and injured 21,952 more. Trishuli
Tirsuli is a Himalayan mountain peak in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, India. It is part of the complex of mountains, including Tirsuli West, Hardeol, Dunagiri, Changabang, and Kalanka, which make up the northeast wall of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary, in the Garhwal Himalaya. It rises at the northern end of the Johar Valley, which drains into the Gori Ganga. This peak should not be confused with nearby Trisul, which is on the southwest side of the Sanctuary. Devighat Hydropower Station
Devighat Hydropower Station is a 14.1 MW cascade project of Trishuli Hydropower Station. The station is located at Bidur Municipality in Nuwakot, Nepal. The plant was commissioned in 1984. The plant was developed jointly by the Government of India and the Government of Nepal. The project cost was NPR 750 Million. The plant was overhauled in 2011 to regain efficiency. The design flow is 45.66 m3/s and the rated head is 40.5 m. Nuwakot Solar Power Station
Nuwakot Solar Power Station is located at Nuwakot District of Nepal. It is the largest solar power plant of Nepal. The plant is owned by Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). The solar panels are installed in six locations within the premises of Devighat Hydropower Station which is also owned by the NEA. Energy generated by the project is connected to the 66 kV sub-station of Devighat Hydropower Station. The solar station generates energy only during the daytime. The Chinese contractor Risen Energy Co. is involved in the operation and maintenance of the plant for the first five years. After that, the plant will be handed over to the NEA. Construction of the station began in 2018. Its targeted construction duration was one year, however there were delays due to environment studies. NEA had planned to install 15MW by April 2020 which was again delayed due to nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic. As of June 2020, only 1.25 MW has been installed. 1991 Nepal Census
The 1991 Nepal census was a widespread national census conducted by the Nepal Central Bureau of Statistics. Working with Nepal's Village Development Committees at a district level, they recorded data from all the main towns and villages of each district of the country. The data included statistics on population size, households, sex and age distribution, place of birth, residence characteristics, literacy, marital status, religion, language spoken, caste/ethnic group, economically active population, education, number of children, employment status, and occupation.
