Bicol River
The Bicol River is the eighth largest river in the Philippines in terms of drainage basin size with an estimated catchment area of . The river drains a large part of southwestern Bicol Peninsula of the island of Luzon and passes through Camarines Sur province. The river starts from Lake Bato, above sea level, and flows downstream to its estuarine mouth at San Miguel Bay. It passes through Naga City, the alluvial and coastal plains of the vast Bicol Valley, an elongated, northwesterly trending depression in the Bicol Region, which contains alluvial plains to the coastal plain. Average slope within the river's drainage basin is 0.006%. The basin has an influence area of including its drainage basin. It lies between 13°0 to 14°N and 123°0 and 124°0 E. Canaman, officially the Municipality of Canaman ( bcl, Banwaan kan Canaman; tl, Bayan ng Canaman) is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Camarines Sur, Philippines. Conglomerate (geology)
Conglomerate () is a clastic sedimentary rock that is composed of a substantial fraction of rounded to subangular gravel-size clasts. A conglomerate typically contains a matrix of finer-grained sediments, such as sand, silt, or clay, which fills the interstices between the clasts. The clasts and matrix are typically cemented by calcium carbonate, iron oxide, silica, or hardened clay. Conglomerates form by the consolidation and lithification of gravel. They can be found in sedimentary rock sequences of all ages but probably make up less than 1 percent by weight of all sedimentary rocks. Siltstone, also known as aleurolite, is a clastic sedimentary rock that is composed mostly of silt. Mount Masaraga
Mount Masaraga is a stratovolcano located in Ligao City in the province of Albay, in the Bicol region, on Luzon Island, in the Philippines. Physical features Mount Masaraga is a forested, sharp-topped, mountain with an elevation of asl. It is adjacent and the closest to the perfect cone of Mayon Volcano. Eruptions There are no historical eruptions from the volcano with the last eruptive activity dated as Holocene as reported by the Global Volcanism Program. Thick lava flows from that period are present on the flanks of Mount Masaraga, an understudied volcano in the Philippines. Geology Rock type found on the mountain is andesite trending to rhyolite.
