Psycho Circus
''Psycho Circus'' is the eighteenth studio album by American rock band Kiss and the first to involve all four original members since 1979's ''Dynasty.'' While touted as a band effort, Peter Criss only played drums on the Ace Frehley-penned track, "Into the Void", and guitarist Frehley only played on two regular album tracks, the one he wrote plus "You Wanted the Best". He also played on a bonus track called "In Your Face", penned by Simmons. All four band members, however, sang lead vocals on the album. Background Following the highly successful 1996–97 reunion tour, ''Psycho Circus'' was marketed as the first new studio album by the band's original lineup since 1979's ''Dynasty'' (as Peter Criss did not participate on the 1980s '' Unmasked'', although Criss' drum work is limited to only one of the nine songs on ''Psycho Circus''). As with ''Dynasty'' and ''Unmasked'', however, many of the songs were recorded by uncredited players. Composition and recording Ace Frehley and C ...

Alive! (Kiss Album)
''Alive!'' is the fourth album overall, and the first live album, by American hard rock band Kiss. It is considered to be their breakthrough and a landmark for live albums. Released on September 10, 1975, the double-album contains live versions of selected tracks from their first three studio albums, ''Kiss'', '' Hotter Than Hell'' and '' Dressed to Kill''. It was recorded at concerts in Detroit, Michigan; Cleveland, Ohio; Wildwood, New Jersey; and Davenport, Iowa on May 16, June 21, July 20 and 23, 1975. The album's title was a homage to the 1972 live album '' Slade Alive!'' from the English rock group Slade, a band that heavily influenced Kiss. Background From 1974 to 1975, Kiss released three albums: ''Kiss'', '' Hotter Than Hell'', and '' Dressed to Kill''. Although the three albums helped establish a cult following for the band in the Rust Belt, they were commercial failures. Guitarist Paul Stanley attributed the low sales to Kiss' weak sound when they were in the studi ...

Paperback
A paperback (softcover, softback) book is one with a thick paper or paperboard cover, and often held together with adhesive, glue rather than stitch (textile arts), stitches or Staple (fastener), staples. In contrast, hardcover (hardback) books are bound with cardboard covered with cloth, leather, paper, or plastic. Inexpensive books bound in paper have existed since at least the 19th century in such forms as pamphlets, yellow-backs, yellowbacks, dime novels, and airport novels. Modern paperbacks can be differentiated from one another by size. In the United States, there are "mass-market paperbacks" and larger, more durable "trade paperbacks". In the United Kingdom, there are A-format, B-format, and the largest C-format sizes. Paperback editions of books are issued when a publisher decides to release a book in a low-cost format. Lower-quality paper, glued (rather than stapled or sewn) bindings, and the lack of a hard cover may contribute to the lower cost of paperbacks. Paperb ...

Kiss Army
The KISS Army is the official fan club for the American rock band Kiss (band), Kiss, as well as the unofficial name used to refer to Kiss fans in general. It was started unofficially in 1975 by Bill Starkey and Jay Evans. The membership form displayed for the first time what became known as the official Kiss Army logo, which was designed by Dennis Woloch and Vincent DiGerlando of Howard Marks Inc., the advertising agency working with Bill Aucoin and Kiss at that time. According to Bruce Vilanch, the president of the Kiss fan club was Ringo Starr's son when Kiss starred in "The Paul Lynde Halloween Special", in 1976. History In January 1975, Starkey and Evans, two teenage Kiss fans from Terre Haute, Indiana, began contacting local radio station WVTS in an effort to get Kiss music played. After being repeatedly turned down by program director Rich Dickerson, Starkey and Evans began calling WVTS claiming to be "the Kiss Army." They also sent letters to the station and signed them, ...
