Bianca Pinheiro
Bianca Pinheiro (Rio de Janeiro, September 21, 1987) is a Brazilian comics artist and illustrator. She graduated from Graphic Arts by UTFPR and did postgraduate studies in Comics by the Grupo Educacional Opet. Bianca began publishing webcomics in 2012. Her main work is ''Bear'', which tells the story of a lost girl who befriends a bear. Three printed volumes of the webcomic were launched by Editora Nemo in 2014, 2015 and 2016. In 2017, the book was launched in France by the publisher La Boîte à bulles entitled ''Raven et l'Ours''. Between 2012 and 2015, Bianca also published a series of short comics online in her Tumblr, in Portuguese and in English. In 2015, Bianca won the Troféu HQ Mix, the main Brazilian comic book award, in the category "New talent (writer)" for her work in the horror graphic novel ''Dora''. ''Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?'' (retroactively retitled ''Blade Runner: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?'' in some later printings) is a dystopian science fiction novel by American writer Philip K. Dick, first published in 1968. The novel is set in a post-apocalyptic San Francisco, where Earth's life has been greatly damaged by a nuclear global war, leaving most animal species endangered or extinct. Mauricio De Sousa
Mauricio Araújo de Sousa (; born October 27, 1935) is a Brazilian cartoonist and businessman who has created over 200 characters for his popular series of children's comic books named "Turma da Mônica" or "Monica's Gang (Currently known as: Monica and friends)". At 17 years of age, he worked for a daily newspaper called ''Folha de S. Paulo, Folha da Manhã'' as a crime reporter. In 1959, Sousa quit that job and began his comic book career, and created ''Monica's Gang''. Sousa's characters were inspired by children he knew from his childhood and by his own children. His later style is slightly reminiscent of that of Osamu Tezuka, a famous Japanese Mangaka, manga artist and personal friend. Diário Catarinense (''Santa Catarina Daily'') is a Brazilian tabloid-format newspaper, published in Florianópolis, the capital of the state of Santa Catarina.
