Bianca Bazaliu
Bianca Maria Bazaliu (born 30 July 1997) is a Romanian handballer who plays as a left back for RK Podravka Koprivnica. Career She was capped for the Romanian national team, finished second on the top scorers' list of the 2014 Youth World Championship with 76 goals, clinched the first place with the national team and was voted into the all-star team as the best left back of the tournament. She was given the award of ''Cetățean de onoare'' (" Honorary Citizen") of her hometown Slatina in 2014. She was also given the award of ''Cetățean de onoare'' (" Honorary Citizen") of the city of Bucharest in 2016. Slatina (, bg, Слатина) is the capital city of Olt County, Romania, on the river Olt. It is located in the south of Romania, on the eastern side of the river Olt, in the historical region of Muntenia. The population was 70,293 in 2011; the urban area has around 85,000 inhabitants. The Bucharest Trophy ( ro, Trofeul București) is a pre-season international women's team handball tournament for clubs, held each year in Bucharest, Romania. The competition is hosted by Liga Naţională club CSM Bucharest at the Sala Polivalentă and governed by the rules and regulations of the IHF. It is currently contested by six teams. The 2017–18 EHF Champions League was the 25th edition of Europe's premier club handball tournament. Győri ETO defended their title by defeating HC Vardar in the final. Competition format 16 teams participated in the competition, divided in four groups who played in a round robin, home and away format. The Women's EHF Champions League is the competition for the top women's handball clubs in Europe, organised annually by the European Handball Federation (EHF). It is the most prestigious tournament for clubs, with the champions of Europe's top national leagues participating.
