Bhurgari Railway Station
Bhurgari railway station ( ur, بھرگڑی, sd, ڀرڳڙي ريلوي اسٽيشن) is located in Village Ghulam Nabi Bhurgri, Taluka Shahdadkot, District Qamber Shahdadkot District, Sind, Pakistan. History The North-Western Railway ran through the district from north to south. Alight railway was constructed from Larkana to Kamber and thence to Shahdadkot and Jacobabad in Upper Sindh in 1918 during First World War. Larkana–Jacobabad Light Railway
The Larkana–Jacobabad Light Railway ( ur, ) was one of several branch lines in Pakistan, operated and maintained by Pakistan Railways. The line began at Larkana Junction and ended at Jacobabad Junction. The total length of this railway line is with 14 railway stations. History The Larkana–Jacobabad Light Railway (also known as the ''Sind Light Railway'' and ''Sindh Right Bank Feeder Railway'') opened originally in 1924 as a narrow gauge line by the North Western State Railway. From Larkana, the line extended west towards Shahdadkot then curved northeast towards Jacobabad. It followed the protective embankment of the Sindh Right Bank. Bhurgri ( sd, ڀرڳڙي) is a Baloch tribe which lives in various provinces of Pakistan. History – Origin The tribe itself is of Baloch origin, having come into Sindh in the late 17th century from the Sulaiman Ranges. The tribe has played a very important role since the start of the Baloch Talpur dynasty's reign, having held important roles in their governance and later on partaking in the wars against the British. Shahdadkot ( sd, شھدادڪوٽ; ur, ) is the most populated and largest Tehsil of Qambar Shahdadkot District of Sindh, Pakistan. It was named after the town founder Shahdad Khan Khuhawar. It is located around 51 kilometres northwest of Larkana and 34 kilometers north of Qambar. The town is in close proximity to three districts of Balochistan namely Khuzdar, Jhal Magsi and Jaffarabad in the west and north of the district. It is linked on the M8 motorway route between Gwadar and Ratodero. Town is also a political stronghold of Pakistan People's Party since 1970. Qambar Shahdadkot District ( sd, ضلعو قمبر شهداد ڪوٽ, ur, ) is a district of Sindh, Pakistan, originally named after Shahdad Khan Khuhawar the official founder. District Qambar Shahdadkot, with headquarters at Qambar, was established on 13 December 2004. Taluka Qambar and Shahdadkot Tehsil were part of Larkana district since long before they were combined and made one district for administrative purposes. At first it was named only Qambar but because of dissent from the people of Shahdadkot city, the name Shahdadkot was added. Abdul Ghafoor Bhurgri ( sd, عبدا لغفورڀرڳڙي) (January 1921 - 10 February 2015), was a lawyer, writer and politician from Larkana, Pakistan. Early life Abdul Ghafoor Bhurgri was born on 1 January 1921, in the village of Ghulam Nabi Bhurgri, Shahdadkot. His father, Abdul Jalil Bhurgri, was a government employee and also practiced agriculture.
