Bhatia is a group of people and a caste found in Punjab, Sindh and Gujarat. Traditionally, they have been a trading and merchant community. Ruby Bhatia (born November 1, 1973) is a Canadian actress, VJ, and television show host. Early life and background Bhatia was born to Canada-based Harbans and Premlata Bhatia. But she was adopted at the age of 3 years by her aunt and uncle, Prem Krishan and Saroj Bhatia. She was raised in a small town Ajax, Ontario, a suburb of Toronto, where she studied at Archbishop Denis O'Connor Catholic High School . She studied ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance from the Toronto branch of the Royal Academy of Dance, London. She had given dance exams up to Level 4, which is to dance what a bachelor's degree is to education. Her parents also taught her Indian dance informally at home. Vanraj Bhatia (Hindi: वनराज भाटिया ; 31 May 1927 – 7 May 2021) was an Indian composer best known for his work in Indian New Wave cinema. He was also one of the leading composers of Western classical music in India. Bhatia was a recipient of the National Film Award for Best Music Direction for the television film '' Tamas'' (1988), the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for Creative and Experimental Music (1989) and India's fourth-highest civilian honour, the Padma Shri (2012). Surita Bhatia is an American chemist who is professor and vice provost of faculty affairs at Stony Brook University. Her work considers the structure of soft materials, including polymeric hydrogels and colloidal glasses.
