Bharath Dharma Jana Sena
Bharath Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) is a political party in India. Thushar Vellappally is the current national president of BDJS. BDJS is a constituent of National Democratic Alliance in Kerala. BDJS was formed in December 2015. BDJS is the political wing of SNDP Yogam. In 1976, the SNDP had formed the Socialist Republican Party (SRP) which won two seats in the 1982 Kerala Legislative Assembly election but soon faded into oblivion due to internal issues. In February 2021, BDJS split and a faction under the leadership of M. K. Neelakandan Master declared a new political party, Bharathiya Jana Sena (BJS). Electoral performance In the 2016 Kerala Legislative Assembly election, BDJS was part of National Democratic Alliance and contested in 37 seats (out of 140) but won none. In the 2019 Lok Sabha election in Kerala, BDJS contested in 4 seats (out of 20) and won none. SNDP Yogam
Sree Narayana Trust, also known as the SN Trust, is an Indian educational organisation. The headquarters of Sree Narayana Trust is in Kollam city. It is named after Sree Narayana Guru and was formed by a former Chief Minister of Kerala, R. Sankar, in 1952 to manage the Sree Narayana College, Kollam. 1982 Kerala Legislative Assembly Election
The elections to the Seventh Kerala Assembly were held on May 19, 1982. Background After the election of 1980, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) formed a government led by E. K. Nayanar. By 20 October 1981, LDF lost their majority in the Assembly when the Congress (A), the Kerala Congress (M) and the Janatha (Gopalan) withdrew support for the government to join the UDF. E.K.Nayanar recommended to the Governor to dissolve the assembly and impose President's rule on 21 October 1981 which led to a mid-term election in 1982. 2016 Kerala Legislative Assembly Election
The 2016 Kerala Legislative Assembly election was held on 16 May 2016 to elect 140 MLAs to the 14th Kerala Legislative Assembly. Voter turnout was 77.53%, up from 75.12% in the previous election. The result was declared on 19 May 2016.
