Miss World is the oldest existing international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Sahayaseeli Pedhuruppillai, alias Malathi (or Malathy), is the first female fighter of the Tamil Tigers to die in combat, hence revered as the first female martyr.
