Bhagat Phool Singh Medical College
Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women is a public women's medical college at Khanpur Kalan in the Gohana in Sonepat district of Haryana in India. It is the first women's Government Medical College of independent India and the first such institution in North India since Delhi’s Lady Hardinge Medical College that was established in 1914. The college was inaugurated on International Women's Day, 2013 by Sonia Gandhi, congress party chief. History In 2008, the Chief Minister of Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda first announced the plan for establishing a women's medical college under the Bhagat Phool Singh Women's University at Khanpur Kalan . In 2009, on 1 March, Sonia Gandhi laid the foundation stone of this college. The associated hospital of this college became operational in 2011 with 100 beds and a team of 21 doctors. Bhupinder Singh Hooda
Bhupinder Singh Hooda (born 15 September 1947) is an Indian National Congress politician who is the current Leader of the Opposition in Haryana Legislative Assembly. He also served as the Chief Minister of Haryana from 2005 to 2014. When he began a second term in October 2009 after leading the Congress to an election victory, it was the first time since 1972 that a Haryana electorate returned a ruling party back to power. Hooda is also a Member of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana. In 2010, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh constituted the Working Group on Agriculture Production under Hooda's chairmanship to recommend strategies and action plan for increasing agricultural production and productivity, including long-term policies to ensure sustained agricultural growth. Sonipat District
Sonipat district is one of the 22 districts of Haryana state in North India. Sonipat town is the district headquarters. It is a part of National Capital Region. It is bordered by Delhi, Panipat, Rohtak, Jind, Jhajjar and Baghpat (Uttar Pradesh). Manushi Chhillar (born 14 May 1997) is an Indian actress and model, who was the winner of the Miss World 2017 pageant. National Medical Commission (NMC) is an Indian regulatory body of 33 members which regulates medical education and medical professionals. It replaced the Medical Council of India on 25 September 2020.
