Bhadun
Bhadun is a village in Gazipur District of Bangladesh. It is popularly known as "the shooting village", as it is used as a filming location for drama television series. Holy Cross Retreat and Pastoral Center, a cemetery, is situated here. Location The village, situated in Pubail, Gazipur District, is located from Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, and from Gazipur. History The village became known after the filming of director Amjad Hossain's drama series ''Agun Laga Sandhya'', an Ekushey Television original programme, in this village. In the 1990s, one had to go far from Dhaka to film village scenes for television and film. In 1997, Hossain started scouting for a new village for the drama series. Ekushey Television ( bn, একুশে টেলিভিশন; , in reference to 21 February), also known by its acronym ETV, is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language privately owned satellite and cable television channel owned by S. Amjad Hossain (14 August 1942 – 14 December 2018) was a Bangladeshi film director, actor, scriptwriter and lyricist. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Director twice, for the films ''Golapi Ekhon Traine'' (1978) and '' Bhat De'' (1984).
