Bezirksliga Mittelfranken-Nord
The Bezirksliga Mittelfranken 1 ( en, District league Middle Franconia 1), formerly the Bezirksliga Mittelfranken Nord, is currently the seventh tier of the German football league system in the northern part of the Bavarian ''Regierungsbezirk'' of Middle Franconia (german: Mittelfranken). Until the disbanding of the Bezirksoberliga Mittelfranken in 2012 it was the eighth tier. From 2008, when the 3. Liga was introduced, it was the seventh tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the sixth tier. From the league's inception in 1963 to the introduction of the ''Bezirksoberliga'' in 1988 it was the fifth tier. Landesliga Bayern
The Landesliga Bayern sits at step 6 of the German football league system and is the third highest level in the Bavarian football league system, below the Bayernliga and organised in five regional divisions. The current Landesligas were formed in 1963, when the Bundesliga was established. From 2012, when the Regionalliga Bayern was established, the Landesligas were expanded from three to five divisions. SpVgg Jahn Forchheim
The SpVgg Jahn Forchheim is a German association football club from the town of Forchheim, Bavaria. Forchheim is located in Upper Franconia but the club competes in the football leagues of neighbouring Middle Franconia. Apart from football, the club also offers other sports like tennis, badminton and volleyball. The club's greatest success came in 1994, when it earned promotion to the tier-four Fußball-Bayernliga for the first time. The BSC Erlangen is a German association football club from the city of Erlangen, Bavaria. From 1957 to 1979, the club belonged to the '' Amateurliga Bayern'', the highest football league in the state and then the third division of German football. SC Eltersdorf
The SC Eltersdorf is a German association football club from the Eltersdorf district of Erlangen, Bavaria. An amateur club who has mostly played in the lower leagues of Bavaria, the club achieved its greatest success in 2011–12 when it earned promotion to the Regionalliga. History While football was played in Eltersdorf as early as 1909, in the form of the ''Franken Eltersdorf'', the current club dates back to 1926. With support from another local working maes club, the ATSV Erlangen, ATSV Eltersdorf was formed in 1926. The SG Quelle Fürth is a German football club from the city of Fürth in Bavaria. History The club was formed as the football section of the athletics club TV 1860 Fürth on 1 June 1973. The club's name, SG Quelle, refers to the fact that it has a strong connection with the Quelle company and originated out of the company's still existing Sunday League team BSG Quelle Kickers. The club was part of the lower amateur leagues in Middle Franconia until 1988, when it won promotion from the Bezirksliga Mittelfranken-Süd to the Landesliga Bayern-Mitte (IV). The TSV Vestenbergsgreuth is a German association football club from the village of Vestenbergsgreuth, Franconia. From 1996 to 2007, the club did not field a team due to a merger with SpVgg Fürth, but has since returned to competitive football as a separate side. FSV Erlangen-Bruck
The FSV Erlangen-Bruck is a German association football club from the suburb of Bruck in the city of Erlangen, Bavaria. History The club was formed on 15 May 1916, during the First World War, under the name of 1. FC Markt Bruck. For most of its existence, the football department played on local level in the Bavarian region of Middle Franconia. The club came close to ''Landesliga'' (IV) promotion when it finished second in the ''Bezirksliga Mittelfranken-Nord'' in 1971, after having been promoted to this league the year before. The club remained in the ''Bezirksliga'' for a number of seasons without being able to archive quite so well again and eventually was relegated again.
